Revealed secrets to new year

Christmas was spent with the family and was over soon. New year approached and it was December 30th. The league officially welcomed five new members, while the protégés waited and watched everything from the inside of the hall of Justice together with rocket, the protégé of one of the new league-members.

They talked a bit, until robin got an alarm about Cheshire. They made their ways to the location. As they landed, they saw the Jet the villainess used, destroyed. While the nine of them searched for hints and bodies, they noticed the ambush they walked in.

different villains were there and the team gave their best to fight against the enemies. Zatanna summoned a snowstorm and carried on fighting. Superboy took some guy, Artemis fought against Cheshire, and the others took the sniper.

After a while, Robin and Zatanna took the Riddler and another villainess together. Back in the cave Batman called them into the briefing-room.

"Tell me if this sounds familiar. You hacked, disobeyed protocol, and endangered your lives and the mission. Your mission resulted in the capture of three escaped felons. Proving Warden Strange runs Bellreve as a cover for criminal activity. Well, done." All teens let out a breath of relive as batman smirked slightly and didn't punish them for not listening to him.

The suitcase, they took with them after the defeat of the villains, was taken to the Watchtower by Batman. As the leaguers were out, the team talked again about the mission and the mole-thing. Conner wanted to walk away, as he got a message from Lex-Luthor.

The clone was called to Santa-Prisca. A few hours later, he landed on an Island where he met Luthor, Queen Bee, Sportsmaster, Mercy, Blockbuster, and Bane. Not long after he arrived, a Helicopter landed.

Stepping out came Artemis and Cheshire. Both girls walked towards Sportsmaster and stood in front of him. Moments later the Bioship flew over them and Miss Martian flew down landing besides Queen Bee. "Give me more shields and I'm in too." Superboy informed Luthor, while the man walked towards him. He exposed Conners lies and shut him down with the word: 'red-sun.'

A few hours earlier...

Conner just got the message about the appointment, as he turned to the team. "There is something I need to do, something I need to tell you. Last month on Thanksgiving, I went back to Cadmus and found a few things out. when I was cloned, only half the DNA was Superman's. The other half was human. That's why I never have full Kryptonian powers." Robin piped in. "You're sure? Cause you seemed to have them today."

The clone held his arm. "I've been using these. Shields. They suppress my human DNA. I get the flight, the heat vision, but I think I also get angrier." He told the eight teens while showing them his arm. To Aqualad's question of how he got them he responded. "From my human father, Lex Luthor." They were shocked.

Artemis took exact this moment to step forwards. "Superboy isn't the only one suffering from bad DNA." She walked towards the computer and showed three pictures of villains. "My mother is Huntress, an ex-con. Rest of my family aren't even ex.' My Dad's Sportsmaster. And he's sending my sister, Cheshire, to fly me to Santa-Prisca too." Kid Flash muttered. "That's why..." Artemis answered his unfinished question. "Yeh, that's why I was so desperate none of you found out."

Robin ruined the moment a little. "I knew. Hey I'm a detective." He added the last part after he saw the questioning looks of his team-mates. "But it never mattered. You aren't your family. You're one of us."

"You let us sound like a cult." Riptide commented, earning eyerolls from everyone. Wally walked over to stand besides Artemis while asking. "So, uh who is next?" Megan looked down. "I am."
