Night
Dream

Dream pov:
I sat down beside what was our tree. After the incident, it was just empty and hollow. I could never bring myself to clean it of...the past.

A memory of Night before everything came back to me.

Dream, do up have to go? We have to protect the tree. I know Night, but the villagers are still my friends. Besides, everything is fine here.

I hate myself for not recognizing it then. No wonder you finally snapped Night.

I decided to walk through the town to get my mined off of everything. All throughout was dead bodies....but I felt no sympathy for them.

They only cared about being happy. Not balance, not for me, not for anyone else but themselves. Just like back then.

Dream, please don't leave me alone again. Night, the villagers need me. But what about me?!

Night? They always hurt me and do things to me Dream! Please.. don't leave me alone again. Night...just because you want me to stay doesn't mean you have to lie! Look, everything will be just fine, okay.

Why was I such a fool. I didn't even care for what you told me Night. It must have been so horrific seeing everyone around you like that.

And to think, all of that because I listened to them. All of their lies and rumors about you. I should have known their true intentions.

After going through town I went back to the tree. It really was the only place I could call home, but now.

I sat back at the tree, making the mistake of looking at my unwashed hands.

A memory filled my thoughts, the moment I finally learned the truth.

Night? Night! Huh, why is everyone at the tree? Oh no, Night!

The memory that will never leave my mind.

I gave him to you to help him! You said he needed help so that he could be better!

I should've listened to you Night when you begged not to be taken by them.

Wait, STOP! NIGHT! ...D-dre..ea..a-am....

I remembered that night. The night I killer every single person in the village. The day I leaned how badly the village and myself treated Night.

The day I saw Night being hanged at the tree for something he never did. The day I let it happened to him.
