Lynn's Prov

My stepfather and I made homemade woffles and hash browns for breakfast since he has a big day today. He left for an interview with a famer about maybe ten, twelve miles from our new house. Dad said I could go grocery shopping if I get bored so that's what I did. All we need for now was a gallon of milk and some meat to put in the frezzer and something for tonight.

"I haven't seen you around before. You just move here or passing through?" The grocery clerk asked as he bagged the stuff I'm about to pay for. "Yeah my stepfather and I just moved here." I said as i pulled out the cash for it. "You better hurry home before the sunsets behind the trees. If you want I can drive you home." He whispered to me. "I'll be fine don't worry." I replied giving him a smile.

Walking out of the store I noticed that many people were running and speeding along to get home before the sun was close to the trees well I would say forest because that's what this town is surrounded by. Ring Ring Ring! My phone started to ring and on the screen was my stepfather's name and picture. "How'd it go?" I asked into the phone. "Lynn I can't come home tonight. So get home if your out." He said urgently. "I'm on my way home." I said. "And yes I have the pepper spray."

The sunset behind the trees and with each passing minute it got darker. The feeling of being watched made me uncomfortable and edgy. Looking behind me I noticed a black blur go by. It wasn't very close to me but I could still feel the force of the breeze as it ran by. I picked up my pace and walked faster so i can get home and lock all the doors and windows. A low growl came somewhere behind me making my heart race and my flight or fight response kick into overdrive.

Taking this as a sign to run like hell I did only to hear something chasing after me. The adrenaline I had helped me run even faster even though I was fast with out it because of track and cross country. "You can't run away from me mate. You are mine and only mine!" A deep masculine voice said in my head.

Almost to my house i forced my legs to go faster. Just as I was about to step onto my driveway a huge midnight black wolf with golden eyes appeared right in front of me. "I told you you can't run from me mate." The voice said in my head again. "I'm not your friend so leave me alone." I said looking at the wolf.

The wolf's facial expression went from ticked to amusement. "I never thought I would end up with a mate that's full of life and fight." The voice said in my head.

Backing away from the wolf only made it growl menacingly at me and step forward with each step I took back. Taking my chances I turn and ran in a different direction. "Fine want to play chase then we will!" The voice said darkly. The sound of the wolf's paws hitting the ground behind me. Its not going to catch me, its not going to catch me. I chanted in my head. "Haha don't get your pretty hopes up mate." The voice said in amusement.

"Okay that's enough stop already." The voicd said annoyed. "If your so annoyed then leave me alone." I whispered as I kept running. "I know where your attempting to run too, but I won't let you get that far. As a matter of fact I'm done playing chase." It said in an matter of fact tone.

I made a hard right and jumped grabbing a tree branch and pulling myself up into the tree. The midnight black wolf ran passed the tree and kept going haha sucker. Launching out the tree to the ground sprinting back home. A hard force struck me and i fell forward but I didn't hit the ground.

"Very funny little one now lets go." The voice growled in my head. Pulling out the pepper spry I twisted in the wolf's tightly shut jaws. Sprying the wolf in the eyes he let go of my shirt and its bones started to crack and snap. The wolf turned into a man. He rubbed his eyes and groaned angerly before standing up.

"Don't ever do that again!" He said as he walked up to me. I ran again but this time he wrapped his large muscular arm around me and covered my mouth with his free hand. "We're leaving mate, come on." He whispered an his lips grazed my ear.

I threw my head back and head butted him in the nose. He growled and put his spare hand on his nose. I turned around in his steel grip an kneed him hard in the balls. He fell straight to the ground holding his manhood. Running to my house i ran in and slam the door and locked it and all the windows.

"That wasn't very nice mate." The voice said in my head again. Werewolves are real holly shit! "Yes now open the door before I break it off its hinges." The voice said. "Don't say I didn't warn you." The sound of the wood door splitting had be running for the back door. Only one night of being in Silver Creek and something is after me.

"Why you running from your mate?" A guy said as he knocked me on the ground. He kneeled down beside me which was a big mistake I still had my pepper spray. "Not this time." He said as he ripped my purse strap an threw my purse in the street. "Thanks bro I got it from here." They guy I witnessed turn from wolf to a human.

His golden eyes glowed as they pierced through me. He sighed before putting his large hand on the pressure point in my neck. Dots and stars fill my vision before I slipped into darkness.
