The incessant buzzing of Elle's phone proved that love did make one act the fool. Ever since she demanded space and got her own place Eric had been blowing her phone up nonstop trying to convince her to come home. The fact that he thought that she was going to stay under the same roof as his conniving ass baby momma was pure comedy. The fact that he really let her leave while coddling the feelings of the woman who did nothing but make his life a living hell was way beyond here realm of understanding. She was beginning to regret the day she met Eric White.

"You should just answer, you know you want to."

Elle rolled her eyes at Aleksandra. She was surprised that she even wanted to be around her seeing as she hadn't exactly been the best friend or boss since she got into this situationship with Eric. She had neglected her friends and family on the strength of a man that would toss her to the side because his toxic baby mother wanted him to.

"Talking to him is the last thing on my mind."

But she texts him goodnight, not wanting to discuss their mess of a relationship any further.

"Y'all really need to get y'all shit together. It's becoming ridiculous at this point. You give up so much to be with him E, and half the time I don't think he really appreciates it. You are always at his beck and call but doesn't reciprocate. I can't I'm good conscious as your friend tell you to go back to him, especially if he is repeatedly showing you that he is in sure you your place in his life."

Ella could only nod, taking a generous sip from her wine glass that was sadly full of cranberry juice.

"I know. This isn't something that I haven't heard before, I just won't this relationship to work so badly after the shit show I experienced with Gift. Maybe it's best if I just cut my loses."

Aleksandra looks uncomfortable, setting her glass down before clearing her throat.

"I know this is a touching topic, but why do you think you haven't introduced him to your parents yet? Do you think it's because subconsciously you know he isn't the one?"

Aleksandra wraps Elle in a hug as tears well in her best friends eyes.

"It's bad enough he has a child with another woman, even if it was before we got together. I just don't have time for the judgement that my parents will have for me. I look like a home wrecker being with a man who has a baby that still has a placenta perm."

Even though both women were on the verge of tears as soon as they made eye contact they both broke into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Being around people that genuinely cared about her put Elle at ease, a since of peace that she hadn't felt in months descended upon her. Sobering from her laughing fit, she picks up her phone a FaceTime video from Angela coming through. As much as she loved Eric's mother she could look at the woman that birth her greatest love adversary right now. When she didn't answer Angela quickly texted her explain how sheisty his babymother was moving ever since Elle had took it upon herself to distance herself from their messy as situation. Alek looks over her shoulder with a sigh.

"I think you need to go over there and see what's up, I don't see how you trust that trick alone with your man anyway. If someone goes down between them I don't want to hear you blaming yourself for not being there."

Elle scoffs.

"If he can't keep his dick in his pants for then he wasn't the one for me anyway. After all that she's done to him he'd be a damn fool to mess around with her again."

"You know niggas think fucking there baby mommas ain't cheating. I'm just saying if that really is your man you shouldn't let no other woman think she has the upper hand, let alone run you up out his house. If you want that beige ass man go get him. Don't have any regrets Elle."
