Time seems to slow down as Eric looks at the 3-D images of his unborn son. It was like looking in a mirror. Tears clouded his vision as he saw him smile. He knew then his name would be Nathaneal obi ụtọ. Happiness.

"He seems to be the correct size for his age. With and extremely strong heart beat!" The ultrasound technicians swivels the wand a little lover showing them a clearer view of the smiling boy. Kalija's eyes begin to water and her heart swells as some of her worries are pushed away. The technican swipes the jelly from her stomach after taking a couple more pictures. He help her off the table as they sign some papers to do with his deliver. He rolls his eyes when she says she doesn't plan on taking a epidural. But this is the name girl who swears she's dying when she stubs her toes.

"So what are we doing for the baby shower?"

"I thought that your mother was helping you with all the plans for it? I told you I'd pay for whatever you wanted. This is really more for you anyway." He taps away on his phone, stumbling across a message from Vato to schedule an emergency financial meeting tomorrow morning.

"I thought you'd be excited to celebrate our sons arrival too." She pouts as I pull away from the curb trying to beat the afternoon traffic.

"I celebrate every time I think about him. I don't need a designated time and location to be  joyful for my son." The rest of the car ride is spent in introspective silence. His phone keeps vibrating in his  pocket but He ignore it. One He ensures that Khalija is safe in her apartment, he answer the phone.

"Is this a bad time?" Ella's soft voice makes a jolt of electricity jolt through him. Not accustomed to any woman making him feel this way he tries to ignore it.

"No. What's up?" Making his way to his studio was quick and much to his surprise Ella was pacing on the side walk. Her shapely legs and ass looking amazing in a pair of slacks. The burnt orange blouse she wore making her hazelnut skin pop even more as the wind whips the coils in her hair about.

"I might be moving soon so I was trying to see if you wanted me to put you in contact with another realtor to see you through the rest of this process?" Eric sneaks up behind her, her familiar scent making him realize just how much he has and would miss her.

But why were all of these pesky feelings developing now? And with her? What set her apart from the other women that he bedded?

All these thoughts ran through his mind as he pecks the shell of her ear, sending a pleasureful shiver down her spine.

"So you just going to leave me high and dry?" She puts her phone away thanking God that her cheeks were too dark for him to see the deep blush on them.

"It's not that I have much of a choice. If i want my relationship to work I have to support my boyfriend." Ella feels weird having to explain her personal affairs with Eric, but for some reason she felt like he deserve in explanation. She truly didn't want to leave Arkansas but Gift was her heart. She hopes that all this effort would be enough for him to see that she did want him in her life and that he was valued. She ignored the little voice inside that asked her if the tables were turned would Gift do the same.

"So you just going to pack and move because he tells you to? That's all you need right, for him to say jump and you'll break your neck trying to." He scoffs pushing past her to the sliding does of his building. He greets the interior designers and their crew before hurry to the bay of elevators, desperately needed a stiff drink to deal with the bullshit that Elle was trying to feed him. He rolls his eyes as she simply follows his, the clicking of her heels only succeeded in drawing his attention to her shapely thighs and calfs. Once the elevator dings at his floor, he suppresses the chubby that he has by pushing it into his pocket.
