Remember when I jokingly said that writing An Entry For You took off years of my life? Well, this one has been in the making for almost two years so I hope you'll enjoy it!
It might be a bit stretched and unrealistic, but I do think that the concept is at least okay, so I'm quite proud of it.
There even are a few Easter eggs in this oneshot, so if you keep your brain and eyes on track, you might catch them (some are easy to spot, others might be a bit harder).
"Okay, the rules are simple: The first group to arrive here at my desk wins. Any questions?"
When Zane raised his hand, the employee sighed. "Yes?"
"How much time do we have?"
"I've already told you that earlier."
"No, you have not," Zane frowned. The others backed him up immediately.
"Oh," the man let out. "Well, each team has exactly two hours to escape."
"Thank you," the Master of Ice smiled politely.
The receptionist nodded at him and looked back at the others. "Any other questions?"
At that, Jay's hand shot up. "Do we have escape doors in the escape rooms?" he asked quickly.
"No."
"But what if-"
"That's not my problem, dude. But I will be watching the cameras, so if anything goes wrong, just speak to the camera or do some hand signs."
"That was very rude, Larry," Cole said, crossing his arms.
The employee, whose name was Larry, apparently, looked at him and frowned. "How do you know my name?"
Cole pointed at a little silver name tag on Larry's chest which made him sigh a bit louder. "Right."
"Can we go in now?" Lloyd whined while eyeing the white envelopes in the employee's hand.
"Before you go in, I need a group name for each team."
After a few minutes of arguing about their team names together, Nya spoke up. "Cole and Lloyd are 'BPANARB', Kai and Zane call themselves 'The Beauty and the Brains'," she rolled her eyes, "and Jay and I will be just 'Jaya'."
Larry looked at the ninja with confusion written all over his face. With wide, disbelieving eyes, he slowly went down to look at his clipboard and picked up his black pen.
He cleared his throat. "Do I want to know what that acronym stands for?" he wondered out loud while writing it down beside Cole and Lloyd's names. He had already forgotten half of those letters so he tried his best to just scribble something on his paper.
Nya shrugged. "We don't know what it stands for either. They wouldn't tell us."
Cole smirked, whereas Lloyd awkwardly looked to the side. "It stands for 'Black Pistachios Are Not Actually Really Black'," Cole answered, earning even more confused looks from everyone inside the lobby.
Upon seeing how Lloyd was avoiding everyone's questioning looks, Zane sighed. "Lloyd," he said, shaking his head slowly.
"Hey, I was trying to come up with a cool team name!" The Green Ninja defended himself.
"Yes, but 'Black Pistachio' doesn't sound very fitting," Cole retorted.
"And 'BPAN...A...RB' does?!"
"I like 'Black Pistachio'," Kai said while innocently raising his hand.
