son chaeyoung (twice)

idea: lovers in highschool they break up although chaeyoung is always on the readers mind even when they're about to get married at the altar.

"Chaeyoung, wait up!" (Y/n) ran over to her girlfriend, intertwining their fingers. "Let's go out on a date tonight, I have something to tell you." A grin spread across the shorter girl's face. "Alright, where to?" (Y/n) zipped her mouth shut jokingly, unwilling to tell Chaeyoung where she wanted to take her. Chaeyoung poked her girlfriend's side, "That's rude."

"I'll be picking you up taking you there, it's not too far from your house." Chaeyoung nodded, "Alright. Want to go to my car to eat lunch at least?" (Y/n) grinned, gently bumping into her partner on accident. "Of course I do."

"I'll meet with you outside of your math class then." (Y/n) nodded and kissed her girlfriend's cheek, letting go of her girlfriend's warm hands, and walking into her said math class.

The poor girl was stuck in a calculus lesson, learning things that were so conceptual that they didn't make sense. "Okay (Y/n)," The teacher had singled her out, "What's the derivative of this function here?" She looked down at her notes to attempt the problem. "It's two," a classmate whispered to her, (Y/n) nodded, thanking the student. "It's two." The teacher smiled, "Correct."

After being tortured for another forty-five minutes, the class had ended. (Y/n) walked out, acting like the life was sucked out of her as Chaeyoung linked arms with her. "It was that bad?" (Y/n) nodded, "I don't understand what goes on in the class." They began to walk out to Chae's car. "I can help you, you just won't let me."

"Because you're," (Y/n) paused to think of the word. "Distracting, especially when you look at me in certain ways." Chaeyoung laughed as she unlocked her car, unlinking their arms so they can be enveloped in the warmth of the car's heaters. "I can't help the way that I look at you." (Y/n) scoffed, "You definitely can." Chaeyoung backed up the car, driving out of the school's parking lot. "Where are we going? I thought we were just going to eat."

"Since you want to take me on a date, I want to take you on one too, especially since our lunches are so long." Chaeyoung laid her hand facing up on the console, waiting for (Y/n) to intertwine their fingers together. Instead, the girl was quickly eating her sandwich before they got to their destination. "Hungry?" The shorter woman laughed as they pulled up to a pet store. "What? Are you judging me?" (Y/n) wiped her face with a napkin she packed and hopped out of the vehicle. "I want to go see puppies! And bunnies!" Chaeyoung snickered, holding her girlfriend's hand as they walked into the store.

Once their fun adventure was over, they went back to the school, then parting ways for the rest of the day. They didn't have any classes together unfortunately.

Later that evening, a car pulled up to Chaeyoung's house with the windows down. The door opened to reveal her mom, "Are you here for Chaeyoung, (Y/n)?" The girl nodded, "Is she there?" Chaeyoung's mom moved out of the way to reveal her daughter standing behind her. "I'm going to be taking her out for a little bit, I'll bring her back in perfect conditions!" The shorter girl walked up to the car and got in, then (Y/n) drove off a few seconds later.

(Y/n) pulled up to a park, shutting off the car and hopping out; Chaeyoung doing the same. "You brought me to the place we first met?" (Y/n) held Chaeyoung's hands in hers, nodding gently to hold back her nerves and excitement. "I still have to tell you something though." The excited girl's voice trailed off, nerves beginning to overwhelm her. "Go ahead, take your time if you need to." (Y/n) took in a deep breath. "I love you, Chae. I have loved you for a very long time. I want to continue to love you forever and I promise to do so."

That's what (Y/n) had promised to her first love, Chaeyoung years ago in high school. She thought she was her one and only though Chaeyoung broke up with her that night because she had felt it was too much at once. That she had needed to get her priorities straight before she professes her love for (Y/n). (Y/n) shook her head, looking down at her suit that she was going to marry her fiancée in.

(Y/n) was up at the altar, waiting for her beautiful, soon-to-be wife to walk down the aisle. The music began to play and it felt like (Y/n)'s heart was going to burst. I want to continue to love you forever and I promise to do so, The words rang in her head, something didn't feel right but continued to go along with it anyways.

(Y/n)'s fiancée, Soojin, then walked down the aisle in a long, white dress after the doors opened. Everything almost felt perfect. (Y/n) spotted a very familiar face in the crowd of people, proudly smiling at her. "I love you too," the person mouthed at her, the smile on (Y/n)'s face dropping. As Soojin finally got up to the altar, with help from (Y/n) because the end of the dress happened to be a bit too long, the ceremony begun.

"Soojin, do you take (Y/n) to be your awfully wedded wife?" Soojin grinned, "I do." The pastor turned to what seemed like an ocean of people, "And before I get to you, are there any objections before I continue?" A hand shot up in the crowd, a person stepping out into the aisle. "I object." (Y/n) stared at the person in awe. "Chae, I thought you found someone else." (Y/n) gawked. "But I love you. You're the only person I have ever loved and I am so, so extremely stupid to break up with you because I was too scared to say it back.

And now, I'm spilling my heart to you to bring back the fire we had once lost. I was too scared to say it back because I was scared that I wasn't capable of loving an amazing person such as you." Chaeyoung paused to walk up the aisle, grabbing (Y/n)'s hand. "Let me ignite the fire we once had, please." Soojin had looked astonished at the random woman confessing her love to Soojin's fiancée. "Babe, we're supposed to get married." She spoke up, holding (Y/n)'s other hand. "I, I'm sorry. This is a very weird and awkward situation for me and probably for you, Soojin. But I've always wanted Chaeyoung here in your place, I've wanted to marry her since we were teenagers."

"Let's do the ceremony for them," Soojin told the pastor, "Let them be happy together." A tear rolled down her cheek as she walked down from the altar and sat down. "Can we just skip to the 'I do' part?" The pastor nodded, chuckling. "Do you, Chaeyoung take (Y/n) to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." Chae went up and replaced where Soojin was standing. "And do you, (Y/n) take Chaeyoung to be yours?" A smile spread across (Y/n)'s face, "I do."

"You may now kiss the bride," The pastor granted. "Finally." The two shared their first kiss, smiles found themselves on the couple's faces. "My wife."
