She loomed over the lonely girl. "You're going to have to go down there at some point." The guardian poked Eunji's shoulder. "I'm aware of that, Chorong. You don't have to continue to remind me, I just don't know if I'm ready to step back into the world."

"You've got this. Don't worry about what's going to happen, Eunji. It's all a matter of time before (Y/n) happens to get herself in trouble." The mentioned-woman sighed, knowing that Chorong was right. "Okay, send me down there."

"That's the spirit. It'll take a few minutes to register you and get you going, alright? Just be patient with the process." Eunji sat in a dark room, waiting to be sent to the human realm again.

"(Y/n), look at all of these flowers. Aren't they pretty?" Naeun, (Y/n)'s friend, asked. "Yeah, Naeunie. They're beautiful." Another girl approached the two, "Hi guys, I'm new around here and was wondering if you could show me around."

The two girls looked at each other and nodded. "I don't mind showing you around the place," (Y/n) paused. "Eunji." The new girl added. "Your name fits you well, Eunji. Where are you from?"

"Busan, what about you guys?" Eunji asked with curiosity. "We're both from Seoul, we grew up with each other," Naeun answered. I know, Eunji thought, I've been watching over your friend all of her life.

"Oh, that's cool." Eunji tried to sound interested, but she couldn't keep her mind off of the sole reason she was there. "What's the reason you came here, Eunji?" The guardian thought long and hard before answering, "I want to pursue my passion. I love to sing for audiences, but I'd want to be professionally trained before I start singing for those audiences; you know?"

"I understand, that's why I'm still here in Seoul," Naeun spoke up. "Why are you still here, (Y/n)?" Eunji asked; curiosity bubbling her mind. "I wanted to start a business, something that'll be small at first, and hopefully it'll grow over the years." The other girls went silent, she's being serious. I know that expression anywhere.

Eunji rented a hotel room for the night. "God, this is more stressful than I thought it'd be. I thought it'd be sunshine and rainbows," she sarcastically commented to herself. "Hopefully, tomorrow is way better." The guardian laid across the hotel's bed, sighing in exhausted as her eyes drooped closed, and she fell asleep for the night.

The morning awoke (Y/n), the sun's bright beams making its way through her curtains. She got up, rubbing her eyes as she tried to get rid of the sleep that had taken over them for several hours before. "Another weird day," she sighed as she made her way to the restroom to get ready for school.

"(Y/n), let's go find Eunji. She seems pretty cool," Naeun boasted. "Does someone have a little crush?" (Y/n) teased her friend. "No, I don't have a crush on her! You're assuming things again!"

"Hey, guys. Wait up!" Eunji caught up with the others. "Hey Eunji, this is a random question, but did you have a place to stay last night?" (Y/n) asked cautiously, not wanting to offend the girl. "I rented a hotel room for the night."

"You shouldn't have to live in a hotel room, especially around these parts. They're somewhat considered gross," Naeun commented. "Where else would I stay then?" The two girls looked at each other. "You could come live with us, we have an extra room that isn't being used at the moment," (Y/n) blurted out.

"I mean, this is sudden. Are you sure that you'd want me to live with you guys?" Naeun put her hand on Eunji's shoulder, trying to reassure her that everything would be alright. "Don't sweat it, come live with us for a week, and if you don't like it; you can move out." The guardian knitted her brows together, It is a way to get closer to (Y/n) and protect her, but I'm not too sure about Naeun.

"Okay, I'll try it out for a little while." Eunji put a bit of thought into her decision, ruling out which one seemed best off of the circumstances that she was in. "Do you need to get your stuff from the hotel room after school?"

"You see, I don't have anything other than this uniform." (Y/n)'s eyebrows furrowed close, "So, you have absolutely nothing other than the school uniform?" Naeun laughed, "You dummy, that's what she just said."

(Y/n) pulled Naeun in close by her collar, whispering in her ear, "It sounds like she's homeless, and doesn't have a family. I'm only trying to get to know the poor girl better. Show a little bit of modesty, idiot." The girl let go of her friend, "Sorry about that, Eunji. I just needed to tell someone how to behave."

"No, it's alright. I understand there are no worries," Eunji smiled sweetly at the two, Should I consider them friends now? "Where's your first class?" Naeun snatched Eunji's schedule out of her hands. "Oh! Jung, she's a great teacher. Let's start heading there now, don't want you to be late on your first day."

"Right. (Y/n), who's class do you have first?" The girl pointed to Eunji's paper, "Same as you." Eunji smiled, "At least there's going to be someone that I know in there."

"People in our class would want to get to know you. You're cute and you've got a good personality." (Y/n) perked up. "I doubt that anyone actually wants to get to know me, (Y/n). I'm just glad to have someone I personally know in there."

The two head into their shared classroom and sit down beside each other. A male student gawked, "Look there's a new student!" He walked over towards Eunji with his hand out, "Hi! My name is Han, what's your name?"

"I'm Eunji," The girl responded quietly as she fiddled with the hem of her shirt. Eunji glanced at Han's hand as her gaze bounced to (Y/n). "Han, maybe give her a bit of time to warm up to a new school."

"Okay, I guess I'll see you around. If you need any help, feel free to ask." Eunji bowed her head in thanks, "No problem, that is what friends are for." (Y/n) nudged her friends' shoulder gently.

"Hello students! I'm Ms. Jung, it seems like we have a new student here," she paused, gesturing to Eunji, "her name is Eunji, take good care of her." The girl looked down in embarrassment, I can take care of myself.

"I don't have anymore classes," Eunji muttered, "Where do I go?"

"You can come with me, Naeun still has a few more classes, but she knows how to get home from here. Let's go to the store and buy you a few more outfits." (Y/n) suggested.

"Thank you, but I'd rather get to know you a bit more if that's okay." (Y/n) grinned at her friend and nodded, "That's alright if you'd prefer to do that instead. Let's head home and get comfortable."

Eunji already knew how to get there, but didn't want to seem odd. She had been watching over (Y/n) for so long at this point that it was the normal routine to walk home with her as an illusion.

(Y/n) crosses the street, holding Eunji's hand, dragging her around. Suddenly, a car horn goes off, and (Y/n) is pushed out of the way. "Eunji!" (Y/n) calls out. She runs over to her friend's side, cradling her in her arms.

"I did it, I protected you," Eunji's voice was fading, "That was the only reason why I was sent here, and I completed my mission." The girl faded out of existence while (Y/n) sat there, tears running down her face.
