Third person
Riley and Lucas walked hand in hand to the third class party. They walked into the room and everyone was dancing and having a good time.
"Woah, my family would not approve." Riley said.
"Of course they wouldn't."
"I'm really sorry, Lucas. They were so rude and-"
"I already told you, riles, I don't care. The only thing I care about is you."
"You do realize that I'm still engaged, correct?"
"Correct. But I also realized that in the two days that you've known me, you care about me more than you've ever cared about him. And you know that."
Riley looked down.
"You're stronger than them, Riley. You can get out of their grasp they have on you! And I'm trying to help."
"While making me fall in love with you all at the same time?" She asked.
Lucas's stomach fluttered, but he kept his cool and smirked, "Of course, now let's go dance!"
He took her hand and led her to to the dance floor.
"Lucas! Lucas no!" She yelled while he was guiding her to an open spot.
"Why?"
"I just don't want to, and you can't make me."
He deep sighed. "Let me show you how fun it is... Nina hey!" Lucas said, while a little girl came towards him.
"Riley, the is Nina. She's six, lives in the room next to me," then he turned to Nina, "You wanna show Riley how fun dancing is?"
"Yes!" Her little voice yelled.
Lucas took her hands and twirled her around, staring at Riley the whole time, which made Riley smile.
When the song ended he turned back to Nina, "I'm gonna dance with her now, all right?"
"Okay!" She squeaked.
He grabbed Riley's hand and pulled her towards him, "Come on."
"What?"
"Come on, come with me."
"Lucas! Lucas wait, I can't do this."
He ignored her.
"Were gonna have to get a little closer," he said, pulling them closer so that their faces were inches away. "like this."
Riley's heart started pounding, as Lucas's nose was about to touch hers.
Lucas turned back to Nina, "You'll always be my best girl, Nina."
She giggled and ran back into the crowd.
"But I don't know the steps!" Riley complained.
"Neither do I! Just go with it!"
He spun her in a circle and Riley kept stepping on his toes. She was a very quirky girl, and she looked very awkward whenever she tried any kind of physical activity.
"I told you I'm bad."
"Oh, you're not that bad."
He decided to twirl her in circles around him. She was laughing as she was dancing and flowing around Lucas. When the music stopped she let go of Lucas's hands.
"Wow! That was fantastic!"
"You've never danced in an un-proper way, have you?"
"Nope."
