Third Person
Riley and Lucas were crouched behind a table, hiding from Brandon and Joshua. The water was advancing towards them, swirling over the floor. They crawled to the next row of tables to be ahead of it.
"Stay here." Lucas whispered with a husky voice.
He moved just as Brandon moved in. Brandon moved over to one side of the tables and looked under. Nothing.
The ship groaned and creaked as he moved to look under another table.
Suddenly, a five foot tall metal cart, stacked with China dishes, started rolling towards where Riley was sitting. It hit the table and the stacks of dishes toppled out, exploding on her.
She scrambled out of the way and Brandon spins, seeing her. Moving rapidly towards her, he kept the gun aimed.
"Look at that, I finally found you. And now you're gonna pay. You shouldn't have been a slut Riley, and all this wouldn't be happening." He breathed heavily, "You would be on a lifeboat, with your family and me, not stuck here."
"Please don't, Brandon." She croaked.
"Oh honey, I have no mercy-" Suddenly Lucas tackled him from the side. They slammed together into a table, toppling into the icy water.
Lucas jammed his knee down on Brandon's hand, breaking his grip on the pistol, and kicked it away. Brandon scrambled up and lunged towards him, but Lucas gut punched him right back onto the floor, doubling over him.
"Maybe if you wouldn't ramble your mouth so much, you wouldn't end up in these situations." Lucas stated.
He grabbed Brandon and threw him against the table and Brandon dropped to the ground, stunned.
Then Lucas ran over to Riley, "Are you hurt?"
"No I'm fine." Riley replied, breathless.
"Good. Now let's go."
Lucas and Riley wade out of the room, as Brandon felt around the water for his gun. He spitted out a few curse words before pulling it out and wading towards them.
___Riley spotted the staircase. She started going up but Lucas grabbed her hand and led her down.
They crouched behind the landing as Brandon hobbled upstairs two at a time.
Riley let out a sigh of relief and Lucas mimicked her.
"That was close." Lucas breathed.
"Too-"
Before she could finish, Lucas smashed his lips against hers. She was taken back, but started moving her lips with his.
After a few minutes, they pulled away due to lack of air.
"Why'd you do that?" Riley asked, smiling.
Lucas smirked, "I couldn't resist."
"Okay bud, no more fun and games. We need to find a way to get out of this ship!"
"Right, come one. Let's go."
Suddenly the water poured down the stairs like Rapids and in seconds it was too powerful for them to go up.
"Come on!" Lucas shouted, grabbing Riley's hand and pulling her the other way.
They ran across the room to the other staircase, pounding up it as the water swirls behind them. As they got to the top, they found a steel gate that blocked the way to get out.
Lucas ran up to the gate and started pulling on it, trying to get the stewards attention.
The terrified steward ran away to the sight of the water pouring through the gate.
