Frankie's POV
Monday is such a shit day especially when you have to deal with the shitty people at my college, like seriously they are all wankers and need to get a life rather than interfering with other people's business. Oh, and don't even get me started on the teachers they are just as bad especially when they act as if they care, I mean come on we all know that they couldn't care less about us, there's only one teacher I like and that's my English teacher because she actually knows how to have a laugh and just lets us get on with what we are meant to be doing.
Anyway, enough of my ranting and more introducing...I'm Frankie Moon and I'm eighteen years old, I go to UCL (University College London) and I'm in my second/final year, my best and only friend is Olivia Violet she is the complete opposite to me because where I'm a 'crazy bitch' as some like to call me, she is the sweet and shy one that everyone likes and to be honest with you I have no idea how we even became friends in the first place.
Today is the first day back since the summer break and I'm finally in my last year of college and the year that all of the second years to a massive project that doesn't end until the last day. Normally they pick any subject and even if you don't take it as a course, you still have to do the project, so after they've picked the subject all the teachers in that department come together and pick a new project that no one has done. To say I'm excited about this would be a lie.
So, at the minute I'm getting ready for the day which doesn't take long since I always wear the same sort of thing which usually consist of skinny black jeans, a crop top or just a normal t-shirt, one of my favourite leather jackets and black boots. I started putting my makeup on which consisted of foundation, smokey eye shadow and some nude lipstick. Next, I brushed my blue hair and left it hanging down my back.
I walked downstairs and saw that the house was empty meaning that my mum had already left, not that it was any surprise.
I take an apple from the fruit basket, grab my keys, and walk out the door, I open the garage where I see my beautiful black motorbike. I hop on ahead to school.
When I get there, I climb off the bike, walk through the door and go straight for my locker to grab my books and put my helmet away. As I get closer, I see Olivia leaning against it whilst giggling on her phone.
"Hello" I greeted whilst gesturing for her to get off my locker.
"Oh, hey Frankie" She replied and finally moved out of my way.
"So. who are you texting?" I asked after I'd finished putting my helmet away and grabbing the books that I needed for Health class (Yes, we are all made to take this class) and English.
"No one important," She said back.
"Okay"
"So, are you excited to find out what the project is?" She asked.
"No, not really, are you?"
"Very, I can't wait." She was practically jumping up and down with excitement.
"Okay then.... Let's go-to health class" I started walking but also waited for her to catch up.
Once we entered the class, we found our seats which were in the middle of the class by the windows.
About five minutes later Mr Browne walked in with a grin on his face and a booklet in his hand and that could only mean one thing, that booklet is the project and now I'm even less excited because that means the project has something to do with health class and nothing is ever good about health class.
"Good morning class, the principal decided that the health class department will organize the second-year project." There was a round of groans as he announced this, and I joined them because when Mr Browne plans something it's never good.
"We decided to do the 'baby project', this is where you and your partner have to live together for the rest of the year, and yes the houses are provided by the school, you will have to look after 1 or more children from a variety of ages but none above the age of 6, you will also need to get a job, you may pick whatever job you want but it should allow flexible hours due to the children. If you or your partner find it too much to handle, then the other person may choose between keeping the children alone or sending them back, but I must warn you that if you do send them back you will fail and there is no going back." As I looked around the classroom it seemed as though the girls were more excited than the boys, which is understandable, sort of.
The school has really lost their minds, I mean how do they expect us to look after children at the age of eighteen and yes, I know loads of young parents do it, but I definitely won't be able to handle looking after some kid with someone I don't know.
"Okay everyone calm down, I'll be announcing the pairs now" He gestured for everyone to be quiet and sit back down. "Julia Collins and Eric Holden...Olivia Violet and Lewis Smith..."
I look at Olivia and see her face in utter disgust due to the fact she has to live with Lewis Smith, the biggest arsehole in the whole college, for a year.
"Frankie Moon and Nicholas Lachowski..." I look around to see if I can spot this Nicholas dude, but I don't even recognise the name, so I probably won't be able to even spot the guy.
"Okay since everyone has now been told their pairs please move to sit with them." He finished turning his back on us whilst flicking through the booklet.
Everyone started to move to their partner, but I just sat in my seat waiting for this Nicholas person to come and find me because no way in hell was I trying to look for him. I saw a tall shy-looking boy heading my way, so I just assumed he was Nicholas and to be honest with you he was one very good-looking guy but yet he seemed so uncomfortable with himself.
"A-are you F-Frankie?" He stuttered as he shifted uncomfortably in front of my desk.
"Yes. You're Nicholas, right?" I asked back sounding the least bit interested.
"Y-yes" What's with his stuttering...
"You know you can sit down, right?"
"O-oh sorry." He quickly sat down in what was originally Olivia's seat. "W-what job a-are you planning t-to d-do?"
"Mechanic or Tattoo artist," I say simply not liking the fact he's trying to make conversation "You?" But I might as well amuse the guy.
"P-probably a p-photographer"
"Dude, what's with the stuttering?" I question getting annoyed and kinda curious.
"S-sorry it happens w-when I'm nervous o-or uncomfortable."
"Well sorry for making you so uncomfortable" I replied rolling my eyes, not really caring what is excuse was.
"Y-you're r-rude" He states.
"And you stutter a lot" I state.
"Okay everyone last bit of information. You will be picking up the children tomorrow and if after the year you want to adopt the children then you may." Finally, the bell goes, and everyone gets up to leave. "Wait! You will need to go straight to the orphanage in the morning and that is where you will be given all the stuff that your assigned children were given, and you will also get a car seat for each child. See you tomorrow!"
I grabbed my things and went straight down the hallway to my English class.
