Chapter 4

Frankie's POV

It's been 2 weeks since the first day we got Sebastian and Ariel, Nick has hardly spoken to me (not that he spoke to me before but he's even quieter) I think I scared him off but hey ho shit happens.

I found it quite funny but apparently, he didn't. Anyway, the two little rug rats have been good and Seb hardly ever does anything wrong but I think that's because he is scared they'll be sent back, poor boy.

We all decided to go to the park and when I say we all I mainly mean Seb because ever since Nick took him to the park last week he's wanted to go back ever since and we decided that we should go today since it's not rainy and we can all have a picnic whilst we are there. I also invited Olivia, Lewis (her partner), and the little girl that got put with them.

"Nick, can you help Seb put his shoes on please?" I asked and if you are wondering, yes I have warmed up to Seb and Ariel, after spending a few weeks with them you realise that they are just cute innocent children that need to be loved.

"Mmhmm" He walked over to where Seb was sat on the stairs putting his shoes on the wrong feet. I go upstairs and grab Ariel from her cot and put her on the changing table so I can change her dirty nappy and change her out of her nighttime onesie into a clean babygrow.

Once everyone is ready and we've grabbed the picnic basket, Ariel's baby bag, a ball and bat for the boys to play with, and the picnic blanket.

We arrive and the park to see Olivia and Lewis watching their little girl (who is 3 and I don't know the name of) play in the sandpit.

"Cwan I gooo pway?" Seb asks as soon as we get out of the car.

"In a minute bud but we have to go say hi to my friend and Lewis okay?" I replied whilst getting Ariel out of her car seat and grabbing her bag leaving the rest of the stuff for Nick to bring over.

"Okayyy," He says back in a sing-song voice and takes my free hand in his trying to pull me.

"Hey, Frankie!!" Olivia shouts once we get to the place they are stood waking up Ariel and scaring Sebastian. "Oh no, I'm so sorry," she sheepily says after realising what she did.

"It's fine she'll fall back asleep in a minute and he'll be fine once he gets to know you" I smile "Seb say hi to my friend Olivia and then you can go play," I say crouching in front of him.

"H-hi Owivia" He says with a small wave

"Hi, what's your name?" Say asks while Lewis calls the little girl over so she can meet us.

"Sebastian and wats my swister Ri Ri," He says acting braver than before "Ahhh cool that's an awesome name" He smiles and walks over to the little girl in front of him and introducing himself.

"That's Maya," Olivia says pointing toward where Seb and Maya were talking "cute," I said back whilst sitting down on the blanket that Nick just laid down, he sat down next to me and watched as the two kids ran off to play on the slide.

"So how's the mum life treating you?" Olivia asks with a smirk

"You want the honest answer?" I say back

"Of course" She lets out a laugh

"Well it's actually not that bad, to be honest, I mean the two of them are so easy to handle and I could've been partnered up with someone worse" I subtly jut my head in the direction of Nick who seems to be getting on with Lewis quite well.

"I'm with you on that, she is the sweetest child I've ever met and I don't think I'll be able to hand her back but as for the partner I'm not so sure." She casts her eyes down to the blanket

"Why? What's wrong with the guy?" I ask seriously because she obviously seemed distressed

"It's just he's so so good with Maya but I don't think he's a big fan of me" I scrunch my eyebrows at that, there just be something seriously wrong with this boy because I don't think anyone in their right mind would not like Olivia.

"What do you mean? Has he said anything? because if he has I'll whoop his arse" I threaten being dead serious.

"Well, he's so distant and doesn't seem to want to talk to me about anything" She shrugs it off as if it's nothing, which it isn't.

"You know what?" I ask standing up and straighten my clothes "What?" she replies with a weary look on her face.

"I'm gonna go talk to him, I'll be right back. Why don't you talk to Nick for a bit?" I start walking towards the boys who were stood at the edge of the tarmac flooring of the park chatting whilst watching Seb and Maya play on the swings. "FRANKIE NO!!" she yells trying to catch up to me without looking stupid but she's too late because I've already grabbed his arm and pulled him to the side.

"What are you doing?" Lewis asks as I let go of him and cross my arms so that I'm standing right in front of him. "We need a chat"

"About?" He looks so confused and intimidated, it's so funny. "Why are you not talking to Olivia?" I shoot at him and raise my eyebrow giving him the 'if you don't answer I'll stab you' look, you know that look?

"I have no clue what you're talking about..." He honestly looks confused.

"She was doubting herself because she feels as though you don't like her since you aren't talking to her. I mean come on you live together the least you could do is be nice." I roll my eyes after talking

"She's being too sensitive" He looks around as if what he said was nothing. "She's being too what?" I say shocked "sensitive, you heard me" Someone give me permission to smack this boy.

"You've got sixty seconds to explain why you've been ignoring her otherwise I'll smack the answer out of you." I threat whilst putting on my 'no-bullshit' look "pffft you won't do anything" He laughs to which I kick him in the shin. HA.

"Ouch!" He lifts his leg up and rubs the place where I kicked him "Fine, I'll tell you"
