The Baby Project

Chapter 2

Nicholas's POV

I'm paired up with the worst person in the world, Frankie fucking Moon. And I'm not just saying she's the worst person ever just because she may be a little scary, I'm saying it because she is unapproachable bd the rudest person ever.

I guess you're probably wondering why I'm so confident in my head yet in real life I act like a pussy, well if you wanna find that your gonna have to get to know me a bit first.

So, as you know I'm Nicholas Lachowski and I'm nineteen years old, yes, I got kept back a year when I was 16 because I was stupid and thought that school was a load of shit but that came to bite me in the arse. After being told that I had to redo my GCSE year I got my shit together and became focused on school, which also meant that I had to ditch my old friends and stop street fighting, yes I used to do street fighting.

Once I finally finished doing my GCSE year, I decided to do criminology and psychology at college, now I'm in my last year and all I have left to do is complete the baby project and pass my exams but now that I'm partnered up with the one and only Frankie Moon my year is gonna be ten times harder, whoopdie fucking do.

Frankie's POV

It is now Tuesday and time to pick up the child/children from the adoption centre, me and Olivia got in her car and she drove us to the centre where we waited for our partners to show up.

It's been 20 minutes and Olivia left me because Lewis showed up and then they had to go get the file(s) that told them information about their child/children. Just as I was about to go and look at the files myself a black jeep pulled into the car park and out hopped Nick in some black jeans and a white top with a black denim jacket over the top.

He came strolling to where I was. On the outside, he seemed so confident but then when he spoke it was like how a child would speak to a bully, there is something different about this boy.

"Your late" I spoke rudely as he got to where I was.

"I-I know and I'm s-sorry." He stuttered looking down. I didn't bother to lead the conversation any further and decided to walk into the centre where everyone else went.

"Aaaah Miss Moon and Mr Lachowski you both finally decided to show. I must say I've got high hopes for both of you." Mr Browne greeted causing me to roll my eyes.

"Where are our files?" I asked

"Files Miss Moon, I've decided that you both will be looking after two children, a boy and a girl. Here are their files." He explained whilst handing the files to Nick.

"Thank you s-sir" Nick stuttered back. After he finished reading them through he passed them to me. I read through the first one.

Ariel Jones:

Age: 1 year

Gender: Female

Siblings: Sebastian Jones

Family: Deceased

Possessions: A Turtle teddy and a purple blanket

The second one read...

Sebastian Jones:

Age: 3 years

Gender: Male

Siblings: Ariel Jones

Family: Deceased

Possessions: A lion teddy and a photobook of him and his sister.

"So which ones are these?" I ask getting fed up with the teacher taking forever to show us the two kids.

"Um just over there" He pointed to a corner where there was a little boy huddled up with a baby in his arms. "Once you've introduced yourselves, head into that room and someone will give you their possessions and car seats." After that, we walked over to the corner.

Nicholas sat down across from the boy and I just stood back and watched the interaction.

"Hey bud I'm Nick" He introduced "What's your name?"

"Hello, I'm Sebastian" He pointed to himself and then to his sister "wis is my sis-ter Ri Ri" He replies in a quiet and broken voice.

"That's a cool name," He said back "would you mind if we took you home?"

"Can Ri Ri come?"

"Of course" Nick smiled showing his pearly whites "Would you like me to carry her so you can grab your things?"

"Wes pwease" He mumbled trying to lift his sister "Who's th-at?" He asked pointing at me.

"That's Frankie" He replied side-eyeing me.

"Hi," I said whilst giving a small wave

"Can wou cawy my sis-ter pwease?" He asked timidly "I want to go with Ni-ck"

"sure" I replied whilst taking his sister from his arms causing her to open her eyes with a small yawn.

"Wets go!" Sebastian yelled running to the room that Mr Browne pointed to earlier, we followed after him and he showed us where all of their stuff was placed. After he showed us his favourite lion teddy Nick picked up all of their belongings and I put Ariel in here baby car seat and we walked out of the room, Nick said goodbye to the teacher then we headed to his car where he packed the things in the boot and then we both strapped the two into the car.

"Did you bring your own car?" He asked me

"No I thought I could get a ride with you and on the way to the house you could drop me off at and I can drive the car back with my bike..." I dragged out waiting for him to reply.

"Okay get in then." We both got in the car and he dropped me off at the house after giving me the address to the new house. I strapped my bike onto my jeep, went inside to pack my bags, left a note for my absent parents, put my bags in my boot and drove off.
