"You what?" Kensi widened her eyes.
"That's what I meant when I said that you shouldn't be here with me." Deeks said, sliding down the wall he was leaning against.
She shook her head quickly, "Deeks, I'm not- I know you that you wouldn't've done it if you hadn't needed to.. Why, then?"
"He found my mother, tried to kill her. LAPD knew but ordered me to stand down but I killed him, and made it look like an accident.."
"Deeks, you did what you thought was right. It was self deefense.." Kensi shook her head.
Suddenly, he hit the floor in rage, "I killed my father, Kensi... I killed him and I don't know where my mother is.. and now these-these detectives are going to find out that-that I-"
Kensi got up, sat on the floor, and hugged him, "It was self-defense... And about your mother, it's not your fault, Deeks. She's probably safe and well," She comforted him, "Talk to the cops, and if they investigate, they'll be smart enough to know that you did it to protect yourself and your mother."
Deeks breathed heavily and shakily, then slowly hugs her back, "They want to take me down.. and I can't lose you, Kens."
"They won't. And you won't lose me. I won't let that happen," She rubbed his back and kissed him on the top of his head, "It won't happen. And I think that you should take this as a sign to joing NCIS.."
"They'll only use you against me.." He said, clutching her shirt.
"I don't care, I'm here for you."
"How do you think this will end?" Deeks asked, looking up at her.
"You'll be fine, Deeks. I promise." Kensi nodded.
"You think we'll be good?"
"I know so, Okay? I love you." She managed a small smile.
"Even after I watched my father die in front of me?"
"Of course.. It wasn't your fault."
"I love you, too." Deeks said barely audibly, but Kensi caught it.
Kensi furrowed her eyebrows together, smiling playfully, "Uh, what was that, I didn't quite get it.."
Deeks chuckled, "I said 'I love you, too'." He lied on her shoulder.
"You alright?" She looked at him.
He took a shaky breath, "Tired..."
"Are you planning on telling Hetty about any of this?" Kensi asked, playing with his hands.
He nodded, "Yeah... could you back me up?"
"Yeah, I've got your back."
"But I'm still not on board with the idea of you being around me right now.."
"I said that I'd be here for you, and that's exactly what I'm going to do." Kensi said.
He let out a chuckle, "Nothing's going to change your mind, will it?"
She shook her head, "Nothing, I'm staying right here."
"I don't know what I ever did to deserve you, but I love you.. so much." He pecked her neck.
Kensi smiled, "I love you, too, you really have no idea how much.."
"So what now?" He held her hand.
She chuckled and said jokingly, "Would it be absolutely innapropriate if we full on made out?"
"I really want to, but, uh, I'm really tired and stressed out.." Deeks pecked her lips quickly, and pulled away.
She sighed disappointed at her failed attempt at making him laugh, "I know."
Deeks pecked her neck again, "I'm sorry."
"No," Kensi sighed, "Don't appologize, I get it, Deeks."
Deeks bit his lip for a moment, "Do you, uh- are you hungry?"
She shook her head, "No, I'm actually tired so.." She trailed off, looking at him.
He nodded awkardly, "Hey, we're good, right?"
"Of course, we're, um, good." Kensi nodded once.
"Okay," He stood up, and pulled him with her.
Kensi hugged him quickly, and he hugged her back, crying.
"You know you'll be fine, right?"
"Yeah, yeah, I know," He laughs, " just, I really love you."
"I love you, too.."
Deeks pulls back, "You want to stay or, I could drive you home if you want."
"I'll stay if you'd have me.."
"I really need you tonight, Kens.."
