[BEGIN LOG]

D-9846: This is D-9846, here with SCP-XYZ in their temporary containment chamber. Interview Log XYZ.IL.1, attempt 2. Date, 6 October 2021.

SCP-XYZ: Still can't believe it's been ■■■ years since I've been in that forest. How do we begin, then? I already said my name.

D-9846: You need to repeat it as this is the second recording. They're not including the first one due to Dr Bright interrupting.

SCP-XYZ: ...Y/N L/N.

D-9846: Okay Y/N L/N, Dr Bright has reported that you have mentioned that you have been living in isolation for at least ■■■ years. Due to you saying that you've been in a forest for ■■■ years, it is assumed that you have been in isolation for the mentioned amount of time.

SCP-XYZ: Well, actually, it's ■■■. My parents passed away after about 30 years in that forest. I had no siblings, and people I encountered normally ran away from me. So if you don't count the people who ran, yeah, I've not seen a single human soul for ■■■ years.

D-9846: So people visited the place often?

SCP-XYZ: I'm not entirely sure. Although at first I didn't know what they were, books I may or may not have stolen from them have enlightened me on the fact that I was encountering corpses. It was mostly skeletons until much more recently.

D-9846: (scooting towards the door uncomfortably) And- they- ran? From you?

SCP-XYZ: (leans back on their bed, either relaxing or trying to put D-9846 at ease) You see, I didn't know why, but if I touched them, they seem to grow back any lost flesh they have. That's why I normally wear gloves, as I wanted to take some things from them before they gained consciousness. I only revive them after I take everything I deem as interesting.

D-9846: (his tensed composure returns to normal) ...ah. So you have the ability to revive people?

SCP-XYZ: ...I thought I just told you that.

D-9846: Ah, sorry, I just-

SCP-XYZ: It's fine.

D-9846: (there is a long pause) ...are you aware of any other abilities you may have?

SCP-XYZ: I am unaware of a bit of these abilities as I assume you're asking for abilities that humans don't possess, so I will mention ones that I believe answer your question. The ability to bring back the dead, that was already mentioned, healing injuries, and manipulating plants however I like.

D-9846: Elaborate on the plants.

SCP-XYZ: Well! I can make pretty much any existing plant grow however I like, I can make patterns, designs, and models using plants. A great example is something called a "682 bush", which Dr. Bright has requested me to create outside his house.

D-9846 remains silent as SCP-XYZ watches, for 23 seconds

SCP-XYZ: What?

D-9846: ...Bright, you ■■■■■■■-

Dr. Jack Bright: (over the intercom) Continue with the interview.

D-9846: (He starts yelling swears at Dr. Bright, before calming down after 10 seconds. He exhales.) ...Y/N. Would you mind demonstrating-

SCP-XYZ proceeds to take off their right glove and touches the ground, making a plant quickly sprout next to their fingertips. D-9846 yells in surprise.

D-9864: Woah, what the ■■■■?! I haven't even finished! I didn't mean now!

SCP-XYZ: Oh. (They then proceed to reverse the grown plant, causing it to completely disappear without any trace. The only proof of the plant's existence is some light cracks in the floor where the roots penetrated the ground.)

D-9846: ...holy ■■■■. Anyway, just two or three more questions.

SCP-XYZ: Wait, it's almost over?-

D-9846: Are you aware of the Pestilence?

SCP-XYZ: Do you mean the bubonic plague?

D-9846: No.

SCP-XYZ: Well, I have no clue. But I'd appreciate it if you could provide me information on it, as-

D-9846: You can discuss that with Bright or whatever ■■■■■■■ are assigned to you later. Are you aware of other doctors, specifically ones who possess similar appearance and abilities as you?

SCP-XYZ: ...no? I've been living in isolation since I was a toddler, and never met any doctors. Unless you count the corpses I have revived that happened to be doctors, and they all ran from me anyway.

D-9846: Hm, so they don't know 049.

SCP-XYZ: 049? Who is-

D-9846: Were you born wearing the clothes as you do now, or did you obtain your clothes later on?

SCP-XYZ: Obtained them from seperate corpses. The bird mask was the first one I got, and additionally, the original owner was the first one I revived. I got my white clothes later on, from three or four other people.

D-9846: Alright. This concludes Interview Log XYZ.IL.1. I will take my leave.

SCP-XYZ: You know, you seem like a cool guy. I hope we can meet again in the future, D-

The door opens as two armed guards grab D-9846, dragging him out of the containment chamber. SCP-XYZ watches this from their bed, visibly stunned.
