Ch41. Peaceful?

Im back. Sorry for the wait I've been dealing with school. New announcement at the end!

"No! We have been training for weeks how do you not know this?!" I ye.. at the new kids that needed to be trained. Weeks, weeks we have spent on basic fighting skills and yet they look like babies trying to walk for the first time.

Pulling at my hair I walk out and get into my car calling dad.

"Hello."

"Hey dad it's me. Can you send another person down to deal with the noobs. I swear I'm going to go bald." I sigh.

"Yea that's okay I'll send Elijah down. Is that all you need?"

"Yea that's good. Bye!"

"Bye."

Oh thank god. I wouldn't have been able to go back in there. How hard is it to learn to punch. I mean you should have a good idea before u even train right?

Turning on the car I listen to music as I drive back to the house. Things have been quite lately. No attacks no messages no off feelings.

Just smooth. Which leads us to suspect something might happen so we all have been on guard. Can't let anything slip past our fingers.

Though they are just staying low since Jaxons death and might not come for us for a while. It's a waiting game that I'm getting inpatient playing.

The only things happening are smaller attack for smaller gangs. We deal with thos taking them out or teaching them a lesson.

Shouldn't come after the biggest family. Speaking of families. Ever since Caleb's and Lucas's dads left that one conversation that I got to know about has been stuck in my head.

What could that mean? Come back in years time or many years Can't remeber correctly but it was something close. Are they predicting the future or just planing to show up randomly again after years.

I mean wouldn't be the first time. All of us were confused when that happened. When we all found out about their dad's coming to save us too the boys really looked weirded out.

I know they are on our side but I might just have a private wing watching over them.

Pulling into the drive way I park and go inside. Since things have been slow we have had more family time. Since dad's the Boss he can't be their most of the time but the rest of us kids have been getting along. Jaydens mom went out for a couple months so it's just been us.

"Hey what's up guys." I greet walking into the living room. Just Jayden and Caleb watching TV. "Hey Roni. Just watching a soccer game."

Oo soccer is really fun and interesting to watch. If I'm being honest I'd probably want to play defense look fun.

Walking up to the room I plug in my phone and relax on the bed. I've had more breathing room lately. All of us have.

No attacks after attacks. Just making sure things go the way they are supposed to.

I feel more calm.

I hear the door open and Lucas walks in looking bored. "Whats up." I say resting my hands on my stomach. "Drowning in paper work. Trying to get letters out to the fallen soldiers family's is a lost of work. Not to mention the pain. I wish I wasn't born into this world." He says throwing his jacket and bag off on the floor before climbing into bed and laying his head on my chest.

"Hey, you can't think like that. Yea I didn't either but then we wouldn't have met and maybe we wouldn't have the family we have now." I say running my hands through his hair.

"Yea. I don't know what I would be doing honestly. I'm happy where I'm at relationship wise." And tha linet ladies and gentlemen gave me major butterflies.

I lay there with a smile for z while till I get a text.

Caleb 🤸‍♀️: Emma is here.

Oh shit I forgot about that. "I totally forgot Emma was coming over today." I say eyes wide. "Fuck me too. Let's go then." He sighs getting up and walking out with me and putting an arm around my shoulders as we walk down stairs.

Coming into the entry way I see Caleb and Emma talking. "Heyy." I greet amd Emma looks at me before running over and hugging me. "Its so good to see you how have you been?" She asks as she pulls away from the hug.

"I'm good what about you?" I ask her. She's different. She's done a lot of work on herself and I can see, its great.

"I'm doing good." She smiles. "Well let's get some lunch." Caleb says and we all have lunch and catch up.

The rest of the day well into night gets spent watching movies and playing intense games of uno.

I know this is really short but I'm having a hard time thinking right now.

Anyways the news is that first I wanted to thank the amount of people who have been reading my book. I mean OVER 2,000 thats crazy. I'm so great full. Second I wanted to say that this book is going to be wrapped up soon. There will be a major time skip and it just messes with the plot but this book needs to come to an end soon. Don't worry though it won't ruin the whole book. Now for the good part. There is a second book going off of this one! Right now that's all I can say but it'll be a continuation of this book. I've worked on it some making sure I don't mess up like I did before so it should be good. I haven't decided if I want to write it so you can read it as a stand alone or if I should make it that you should probably read this book first. Either way I'm really excited for it because I'm really going to be hitting spots I didn't get to in this book. Anyways I think that's all. Goodnight!
