Chapter 5

"Who dares trespass in my woods?" we hear a voice say from the shadows. It sounds like a female with a bit of creepiness added in for an effect.

"Um...," I dumbly say not sure what exactly to say, but thank God Ahsoka did.

"We are merely humble travelers headed towards my wife's parent's house to visit," he says calmly. Wait, did he say...wife? I couldn't help but stare at him dumb founded. He looked back at me with a look of urgency to go along with his plan. I sigh.

"Yes, and if we don't get going we will be late and you know how my...mother will react," I say somewhat forcefully. The word mother proved to be quite difficult to say and hope that the stranger before us hadn't noticed.

"Why would a married couple pass through the woods that are known for it's many disappearances," the stranger says so nonchalantly.

What the hell do we do now?, I think towards Ahsoka.

Just stay calm, he thought back. I huff in understanding.

"Well you see this is the quickest way. And I'm not to worried about disappearing, Ahsoka says confidently. "I can protect myself and my wife."

I feel like punching my "husband" in the face. I can take care of myself. I don't need a male to protect me.

"Man, you are stubborn, aren't you wolf?" the hooded figure says laughing. Wait, did Ahsoka know her?

"Aw, come on. It wouldn't be any fun if I didn't mess with you, Aurora," once he said her name "Aurora" stepped out of the shadows and removed her hood.

I was instantly breathless. This girl was beautiful. She had hair as brown as the trees around us. Green, piercing eyes like the leaves growing of the brown trees. Her lips were full and a sight pinkish color. She was little shorter than me, but just as lean. All together she was the perfect girl. The way that Ahsoka and Aurora were staring at each other made me feel weird.

I cleared my throat,"So, I...um...am guessing that you two know one another?" I ask maybe a bit to snidely.

Aurora starts to laugh. I don;t remember saying anything remotely funny.

"Of course we know each other. I'm his older sister."

What?

"Might I ask how and," I turned towards Ahoska, "why the fuck didn't you tell me that you had a fucking sister!" I yell maybe a bit to loudly.

"Well, you see when a mommy and daddy like each other they sometimes want children and to do that they have to have-" I hold up my hand signaling Aurora to shut because I knew how babies were made.

She looked at me with a smirk, "Hey, you're the one who asked how."

"Just shut up," I snap at her. "Ahsoka please explain even more shit that you have yet to tell me."

"Alright fine. Remember, when you were 8 and I had disappeared for a year?"

I flinch remembering that painful memory. Ahsoka had just vanished one day when we were playing in the yard. My mother told me not to worry, but I couldn't help to think that he had been kidnapped or worse, killed. Realizing I hadn't answered his question, I shake my head yes.

"Well, the reason I left was because I had felt a presence in the town that day and I just had to follow it. So, I did and the presence turned out to be Aurora, my sister," he explained. "She's the one who told me everything I told you. I wanted to tell you so bad, but I also wanted you to grow up and have a semi-normal life."

I just stood there not knowing what to do. I was pissed yet grateful at Ahoska for withdrawing this information from me. I understand why he didn't tell me but now it seems like he should of. Maybe, just maybe I would have been able to say my mother. No. I can't think about what ifs. I must think about, what now.

"Ahsoka...Thank you," Ahsoka looks up at me a little surprised at what I'm saying (he's not the only one). "I understand why you didn't tell me, truly I do. I do realize that maybe things would have turned out different but things happened and now we have to find the Pieces of Four and the last person in our little club and kick Deucalion's ass. Which I personally call dibs on the first kick."

Both Ahsoka and Aurora were silent, processing what I had just said then Aurora spoke,"I agree with you. I can tell you are quite determined and powerful. I can see why you want her to be your mate, Ahsoka."

"Wait, what?" I ask completely confused.

I turn to look at Ahsoka for answers seeing his cheeks are bright red from embarrassment he starts to get flustered,"I...well...um...you see..."

"Never mind that now we shall discuss your love later. Now, we have to find my Piece it is quite close to here guarded by 3 powerful and quite nasty witches."

"Great now we're fighting witches?" I start to complain.

"Hey, watch what you say about witches around me."

"Why? Ooh, because you're a witch," I say very jokingly.

"Yes, I am."

Shit.

"Perm, you say I wasn't making fun of witches per-say. I was..." I turned towards Ahsoka and think, A little help here would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry you're on your own on this one. He thinks back.

I was about to continue but then I hear a new voice come in my head.

If you two are done mind flirting, I would love to get back to our quest to you know save the land.

"What the hell?" I half scream.

"Oh, yeah did I forget to mention that the Four are all connected through their minds," Ahsoka says sheepishly.

"Yes, yes you did."

"Sorry..."

"You do realize that you are forgetting to tell me all of the most important things, right?" Ahoska just starts laughing.

"Damn, you two were made for each other." Aurora says through her laughing.

"I would just like you two to know that I am thinking all of the possible ways that I murder you right now," I say murderously.

"Yeah, yeah let's go."

Aurora starts towards the way she came. Towards the center of the very creepy forest and Ahsoka starts to follow.

I grab his arm and whisper (since I can't think towards him),"We are not done talking about this whole "mate" thing, do you here me?"

He shakes his head with a little fear in his eyes. I smirk knowing I got through to him and follow Aurora with Ahsoka on my heels.
