"And alas this is where our heroes fateful story comes to an end. Inside a bone cage, betrayed by a dear comrade, about to be cooked alive and eaten by witches..."

"Will you please shut up?!" Aurora shouts right into my quite sensitive ears. "You are not helping the situation at all."

"You mean the situation that YOU caused," I shout right back.

Aurora scuffs and rolls her eyes in response.

It feels like we have been in this god forsaken bone cage for days. At least I think days . The fugly ass witches wouldn't even tell us the day nor hour.

You would think they would show just a wee bit of hospitality considering they were having us for dinner.

Right. They were having us for dinner. Crap.

I'm starting to wonder if they ever are going to eat us. I mean you would think they would be hungry and just dig in. Who would not want to eat this hotness.

Great. Now I'm starting to sound like Ahsoka.

Speaking of Ahsoka he has barely said anything these past days or hours or minutes even.

"Hey Ahsoka," I call out to him.

He turns his head and looks me straight in the eyes. Oh, crap. They were full of lust. Not in a let me take your V-card kind of way. No, this lust was way worse.

This lust was the Moon lust.

I had completely forgotten about the full moon. Every full moon Ahsoka and I would lock him in this cage I made...out of wood.

I know it's the "strongest" material out there but the cage was only there as a formality. As he got older we didn't lock him up every full moon.

I also no why he was so fidgety. He hates small places. That's also why we never shut the door of the cage. It might seem pointless then but it helped him. It taught Ahsoka that he was really in control. The cage, well it was more of an anchor to hold onto.

I used to ask him about anchors and he said that they are what keep shapeshifters under control; human.

Every new year I'd ask him what his anchor was. Up until 15 he always said the cage, but on the 15th year he said something new.

That's literally what he said and every year after that Ahsoka said the same thing, never telling me exactly what it was.

I began to think it was some sacred tree that he pissed on.

But all jokes aside to get him out of here. For some reason this full moon was hitting him hard. I'm the cage made of bones in a witches lair and our appending doom had nothing to do with it (okay so maybe some jokes on the side).

I scooted closer to Aurora who had placed herself as far away from me as possible and whispered, "hey, we need to get that damn staff thingy and get Ahsoka out of here. He's not going to last much longer and I don't know about you but I don't want to lose my beautiful face."

"Can't lose something you never had," she responds childishly. And here I was being all serious about our situation and she had to respond with that. Unbelievable.

I give her my best, are you serious, look and she answers, "What do you expect me to do? I don't have any powers here. The witches are blocking me."

Well, there goes plan A of her blowing the damn bone cage up. In hindsight though, if she could have blown it up why didn't she do it when we first dropped in for a spell.

Now, I feel like an idiot.

"Okay, so that just means we need to make up a plan instead of sulking about," I counter.
