Recap:

"Dear Ms. McBride,

We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl no later than 31 July.
Your sincerely,
Minerva McGonagall
Deputy Headmistress."

"What is this?" I questioned.
"You obviously got my side of the genes." He stated. "I'm a wizard and you are a witch."

"Now it is time for you to meet the best wizard there is." My father said. "I'm apart of a group called Deatheaters. And you are going to meet our leader." I didn't like the sound of the word Deatheater or the word leader that soon fallowed. I carefully walked back away from my father. This was not good. He soon noticed my hesitation and roughly grabbed my arm. He squeezed and I could literally see my arm turning purple. "Your not going anywhere."

Suddenly, my body felt like I was folding into itself. I closed my eyes, not wanting to show any emotion of pain. My body then felt like it was unfolding. Feeling no more pain, I opened up my eyes. When I opened my eyes, my father is still squeezing my arm, but we are in a different place

The walls and the ceiling were pure black. There was only one light and it shined dimly. There was a brown door on the opposite side of where we were standing. Slowly the door creeped open, and out came a strange man who was pale and had slightly freckled skin with a mop of fair hair.My father finally let go of my arm and a blue and black hand mark was left. I looked over at the door again and I noticed that he was carrying something. As he came closer I noticed it wasn't something but someone. The person was even paler than the first man. He was small, weak, and bonny, but scary non the less. He gave off that feeling of uneasiness.

"Ahhh if it isn't for the McBride family." said a low deep voice. No one in the room mouths moved so she assumed that it was the small bonny man that was in front of her. "And this is the famous Hope am I correct to assume Jack?"

"Yes, my lord. This is my daughter, Hope." My father replied. "Her mother left us when Hope was bconslerorn. This little piece of crap has been taking up space ever since. You can do anything you want to do to her my lord. I know that you need someone to torture, because the Potter boy is out of range right now. Oh and I have sent the book to Malfoy, our plan is in motion now." I looked at my father. I know that he hates me but could I really be this horrible to desiurve not only just pain from him, but pain from others? Not only that but to put the hate to others? I don't know this Potter boy but I better worn him. I started running to the door trying to get away from these evil people. But as soon as I got to the door, a strange force was keeping me in place. I tryed to open my mouth again, but something was keeping that closed also.

"So cute. She thinks she can just run away from this. Put her in the basement. Feed her nothing for 2 days then bring her out, we will see what she thinks about running then." the voice said. "Oh, and Jack you said that she got her letter right?"

"Yes my lord." My father replied.

"Before you put her down there. You might as well send the owl informing them that she will be attending. And you and her might as well get her stuff. I have a feeling she'll be here for the rest of the summer."

I'm finally gonna be let out in a few hours and be able to go to Hogwarts. In the past few weeks I've been beaten and tortured with magic, physically, and emotionally. I'm starting to get used to it. My father finally explained what was going on while we were getting my school supplies. While were out getting supplies my father bought a scale. He put it in the basement with me so I could weigh myself in front of him. He wanted me to weigh less. He said that I was too heavy. Which I know is not true. I started out at exactly 113 pounds. But since I have been starved I have lost all 13 pounds plus another 20. I know weigh 80 pounds, and look anorexic. I got an apple today which is an improvement from the past 3 weeks. I usually just get a sixth of a bread loaf.

To avoid looking sickly when we go out. My father has bought me some concealer that I put all over my body, and some adult male clothing. To say that it is baggy on me would be an understatement. My robes are borrowed from the Malfoy family.

Speaking of the Malfoy family, I met there son. He is one year older than me. My father needed to talk about some "Business" stuff with Mr. Malfoy so he took me along. To say that he is a stuck up brat would be an understatement about the blonde boy.

A key was jiggling in the key hole of the door. My father emergered with a suit case, and other nessisities that I'll be needing. I handed me a train ticket and my wand.

"I'm not going with you. You'll be going alone, you piece of crap. Make sure not to be a burden on anyone while your at it. I'll send you there that is it." The folding sensation happened agian, this time though I was used to it.

I opened my eyes and was at a train station. I looked at my train ticket and noticed that I was in London now. That leaves me to wonder if I have been here the hole time. I mean I know that Diagon Alley was in London, but didn't know that Hogwarts was. I guess I will be the only American here. I then noticed on my train ticket that it said train 9 and 3/4. That is peciular. I then notice that a family of several red heads and one black haired boy was talking rather loudly and about muggles. I then walked shyly over, to who I assumed was the mother. "Ummm. Sorrry to intrude, but I am alone... and I have no one to help me get one the train. It is my first year to Hogwarts. Could you help me?"

"Oh of course I can help you! Ginnny my youngest daugter is going to Hogwarts for her first year also. Ron and Harry here is in there second year, Fred and Geoogre are in there sixth year, and Percy here is on his last year and is a prefect there." It supprized me how nice and generrous she was. "How about you go with Fred and George?"

"Ya that would be nice thank you." I walked over to the brothers who were obviously twins. The siblings all looked like eachother (except that Harry dude) but these two looked exactly the same.

A voice echoed through the train: "We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately."

Hope was beond nervous. She was already in her robes. She sat by Ginny and a a girl named Herminoe Granger. She was a bit of a know it all, but nice and sweet none the less. The train slowed right down and finally stopped. People pushed their way toward the door and out on to a tiny, dark platform. Then a lamp came bobbing over the heads of the students:

"Firs' years! Firs' years over here!" A big hairy face beamed over the sea of heads. "C'mon, follow me -- any more firs' years? Mind yer step, now! Firs' years follow me!" Slipping and stumbling, they followed Hagrid (who she found out his name by Ginny) down what seemed to be a steep, narrow path. It was so dark on either side of them that Hope assumed there must be thick trees there. Nobody spoke much. "Ye' all get yer firs' sight o' Hogwarts in a sec," Hagrid called over his shoulder, "jus' round this bend here." There was a loud "Oooooh!" The narrow path had opened suddenly onto the edge of a great black take. Perched atop a high mountain on the other side, its windows sparkling in the starry sky, was a vast castle with many turrets and towers. "No more'n four to a boat!" Hagrid called, pointing to a fleet of little boats sitting in the water by the shore.

Hope followed Ginny into a boat with two other boys. "Everyone in?" shouted Hagrid, who had a boat to himself. "Right then -- FORWARD!" And the fleet of little boats moved off all at once, gliding across the lake, which was as smooth as glass. Everyone was silent, staring up at the great castle overhead. It towered over them as they sailed nearer and nearer to the cliff on which it stood. "Heads down!" yelled Hagrid as the first boats reached the cliff; they all bent their heads and the little boats carried them through a curtain of ivy that hid a wide opening in the cliff face. They were carried along a dark tunnel, which seemed to be taking them right underneath the castle, until they reached a kind of underground harbor, where they clambered out onto rocks and pebbles.

Then they clambered up a passageway in the rock after Hagrid's lamp, coming out at last onto smooth, damp grass right in the shadow of the castle. They walked up a flight of stone steps and crowded around the huge, Oak front door. "Everyone here?" Hagrid raised a gigantic fist and knocked three times on the castle door.
