It's 2:35 in the morning
And I can't sleep. The only thought running through my mind is
Every single thing
That we ever said
To each other
And our very last words
Before we turned our backs
On what we were
And never again did we
Look behind us.And in order to get through
The long tiring nights,
I have to remember all
Of the good times
That we shared together,
Even though the thought of it burns
And seems to stream
Down the sides of my face
Like little waterfalls.I start to question if I
Can stand this life for
Much longer.
I say that I can,
Because that's simply what I'm told.
I'm told that I'm strong
And that I will be okay. But truth be told,
I don't know if I will be okay
Because I'm at the end of my tether
And sooner or later,
I'll be six feet under.
