"You!" When the marquess tried to shake off the pain in his ankle, he caught sight of me and charged at me with rage. 'I...' I have never once believed in the person watching at me from above.

Regardless, there were brief times like this, that I would close my eyes and pray- wish that someone would appear and save me. But it wasn't the Heavens who heard me, it was better to say that it was the devil who granted my earnest call; when he sent the daughter, of the person tormenting me to my aid instead.

"Dad." An "angel" with blonde hair and green eyes, poked her head out of the door and said, "Oh my!" The sweet like candy voice had stopped the aggressive force aimed at me.

The person who owned numerous dogs like servants, and the person who only showed her beauty to the world glanced our way. Right. Living in a gorgeous mansion filled with adorned accessories and expensive gowns could only be seated by someone born like her.

Lataliate Roscent.

"Oh my!" Lataliate went to the marquess and hugged him by the side, and enthusiastically saying, "No matter how wrong she was, you have to be forgiving dad!" For a person who seems to be helping someone, she seems oddly happy and delighted.

"Oh my- Lala!"

They were truly like father and daughter, it's amazing how you could do despicable things like this. "To think you'll concern yourself with this thing-! What brings my lovely daughter here?" The marquess gritted his teeth, and turned to face Lala in order to return her embrace.

No matter how much I didn't like her, I can't change the fact that if she hadn't appeared, I would've ended up dug under the earth instead of staying above the floor's surface.

"She's still your niece, dad! And I wanted to see you!" Lala said whilst giggling at the end of her sentence. She was wearing a big smile when looking up at the marquess with a faint sound coming from her mouth.

Once I came to lift my body up, the marquess was already leaving without as much of a care for me. 'Brutish.' I thought. But it wasn't anything to be surprised about. For them something as trivial as this was normal.

With each step they took, their backs that were faced in front of me were getting smaller as it became farther away, leaving me in an empty space; wet, cold, and pained. '......' The sight left me still for a moment.

Different thoughts were filling my head. There was a part of me that gave off an envious feeling, while the other part of me was shouting loudly in the dark; trying to keep myself away from the chances of yearning for those feelings. And so, the part to stay away from those feelings won over me.

After the experience of people constantly choosing to ignore and turn a blind eye to me, I decided it's better to not let such delusional thoughts strain my mind. The hope to receive the same affection was quickly dispersed but instead, it was replaced with the worry for how long my body could last trying to endure the horrid treatment in this house.

'I should first clean this up if I don't want another beating from the marquess. Luckily, Lataliate arrived just in time before the marquess could have done worse things.'

With the brush being pushed to the right from earlier, I tried reaching it. But to no avail, when my hands were centimeters away from reaching it, the lamentable voice could be heard resounding in the room; like voices harmonically speaking in mockery.

"Huh... What are you doing?" The voice trickled slowly. Loosely speaking in a nonchalant voice. From her actions, it was obvious she could care less about me. With the only reason she decided to play with me, was to have the pleasure of having a "supposed" noble crawling below her.
