"He lies. Ancia not dwillydawllwing. She pway in kwitch-" (He's lying. I wasn't walking around the estate. I was in the kitch-) I was trying to correct some parts of his story, until my turn to explain things were quickly cut off when the baron quickly shouted.
"Those are lies! Of course, she'll try to lie herself out of this. My lord she even had the viscount try and take her away from the marquessate. And the only one who was clearly injured during that time was my son!"
These were the only words I heard from the baron before my mind was thinking in an impenetrable motion. 'This only makes things clearer. Though I can't be entirely sure just yet.'
I glanced to my side and saw Lataliate grinding both her teeth with crossed arms. 'She was the one that brought me here, right?' A five-year-old trying ruin someone with a precarious story like that...
"My Lord- That child was idly walking around the mansion, despite your order of keeping her locked in her room. Much less when it was done during a visitor; such as the viscount being here." The baron's wife continued. "As a mother a part of me is doing this for my son, but as a loyal servant of the marquessate I'm doing this to uphold the House's dignity and face!"
'Suddenly, a child's fight became a matter of a house's dignity and face...' The dreading fact of how dramatic a noble's fights can be, were making my mind mush.
Anyway, if I'm right... it's a good thing I asked for her.
"I'm sorry..." I should try and do my best then. "Ancia worry big brother be trouble." (I was worried he might get himself in trouble.) I clasped my hands together and had my gaze down at the floor. The only sight I could see were my feet pretending to lightly tremble below.
'I wonder what their reactions are right now.' I could make do with what the Pier couple's face is like along with Rowan. But, what I'm curious about is how the marquess would react to this.
"Oh? Trouble?" The marquess whose face was in his hands, asked interested in sudden details. "Rowan went to busy place! Bwut big sisters say it was busy today, so I thought he might get scolded..." (Rowan went to a bustling place filled with people. But the servants said that place would be busy today, so I thought he might get scolded if he went there...)
The baron made a choking sound on his words. His mouth quickly shut after seemingly hearing something unexpected. 'Then... I'm somewhat right.' I've noticed this from the start... but he never lets me talk when I'm about to mention the kitchen.
Not once from the beginning did anyone mention the kitchen, despite the fact that it was the place where everything began. On top of that, the thing with the glass bottle I got... did they really plan something?
The problem is, that I can't take big and progressive steps if I can't find out what that bottle really contained. 'Poison? Drug? Or is it something like a potion?' Nevertheless, any outcome wouldn't be good, but I can already take my guess.
"You say a busy place... where was it?" The marquess curiously sat back, leaning on his chair. The sudden and apparent interest he showed, made Lataliate grind her teeth in irritation and mutter under her breath. "...what's even going on here..."
It was starting to be problematic. I can barely speak three letter words but now I have to be part of a-pass-time debate. "Then... w-when Ancia tell Rowan no pwaying... here he got mad and call me names!" (Then when I told Rowan he can't be here, he got mad and started to call me names!)
I tried hitching my voice to make my claims more believable. It's no good to be emotional in times like this, but I can't really act nonchalant either. So, in any case, I should just make it seem like recalling a memory and be sadly engrossed in it.
