Locked Out

Recap: Billy said, "Aqua this is serious, what you are doing could kill you." I said "I know. I just don't know why you guys care, no one ever cared about me before aside from Bella." Alex said, "Because your life matters, you matter. Yes, your mother cheated on Charlie with me, and yes I was also in the wrong because I knew and was friends with them. But that should not be blamed on you. You are the result of it, not the reason for it. Renee is wrong for making you think you're the problem." Billy said, "You still have to tell them you know." I said "I know, I just... I don't know if he'll keep me and I don't want to go back to her." he grabbed my face in his hands and said, "You will not go back to her, I promise."

I sighed "How can you stop it? He won't want me, no one wants me." Alex pulled me into a hug and laid his head on top of mine and said "Billy can't do much but support you, I, however, I promise you won't go back to your mother if you don't want to. Aqualyn you are wanted, because I want you. I have always wanted you." I looked up at him "Then why did you stay away?" he sighed and tightened his arms around me "Because I thought, your life would be better if you grew up with a mother and father in the household." I said "Except I didn't have a mother and father in the household. They got divorced when we were 3 months old. Which is 2 years and 9 months before the DNA test."

He said, "The DNA test was a formality, we all knew you were mine." I was confused "How?" he said "Renee found out she was pregnant when she was 2 weeks along with Bella because she was sick. You on the other hand weren't conceived until she was already 2 months along with Bella." I pulled away from him and faced him, it was then I noticed Billy wasn't even in the house. I said "That's not possible, once you get pregnant, your hormones, and mucus plug prevent you from getting pregnant while pregnant." he said "Rare, yes, but still very possible and it happened. You saw the DNA test babe, that's why Billy called me here." I said "Then why the DNA test?" he said "Because when Charlie kept questioning your looks, Renee confessed. Charlie wanted your birth certificate changed, he was pissed off Aqua, and he had a right to be. The judge wouldn't change your birth certificate without documented proof, so we got a DNA test on both of you girls."

I sat on the couch "So what do we do now?" he sat on the coffee table and held his hand out for me, I laid my hand in his and he said, "Now we tell Renee and Charlie that you and I assume Bella, know the truth." I sighed but nodded and so he stood up and pulled me with him. He let go of my hand and wrapped his arm around my shoulder taking me outside to our cars. Billy said, "Aqua before you leave." I turned to face him, he was with the tall cute guy that was staring at me. Billy said, "I wanted you to meet my nephew, this is Nicholas." The guy rolled his eyes, "It's Nick, Uncle B. It's a pleasure to meet you Aqua." he held his hand out I assumed to shake mine so I placed mine in his and instead he kissed the back of my hand. I said "It's nice to meet you, Nick. Uh Billy I didn't know you had a sibling." Billy said, "I have three sisters, my older sister is named Nora, and I have three younger sisters Jennie, Connie, and Nicholas's mom Emmie." I said, "That's really cool." 

 Nick smiled at me "I hope we meet again." I smiled back "Im sure we will." I was trying not to blush but I think I failed because Alex pulled me away and said "Smooth, Aqua, real smooth." he opened my car door and I got in saying "I can't help it, he is super cute."  Alex said, "My sweet daughter, keep in mind you are only 17 and he is 20." I said "I'll be 18 in September." he sighed "Don't remind me, I can't believe you are almost an adult. Now, go home, ill follow you." I smirked at him being clearly uncomfortable talking about the cute boy as he shut my door. I drove home with Nick on my mind. 

I parked and got out, Bella pulled up right behind Alex. She came to my side and said "Who's he?" I said "Alexander Hale." she gasped "So?" I said "Yep." She said "Wow." I nodded "Right." she said, "Wait, so?" I said "Yeah." she said "Now?" I sighed "Unfortunately." Alex said, "What just happened?" I said "She asked questions, I answered." he said, "Right, I guess you can call that a conversation." I rolled my eyes and Bella said "Let's go inside." I groaned making Bella smack me. "Fine, then can we talk about the cute boy?" she widened her eyes and said "A boy?" Charlie opened the front door and I said "Later." she nodded Charlie said "What are you doing here?" man did he look pissed. 

Alex said, "Charlie I don't want to fight with you, not anymore." Charlie walked down the stairs and said "I'll ask again, why are you here Alexander?" I said, "I brought him." Charlie turned on me "How do you know him Aqua?" I said "I asked Billy to track him down." he said "Aqualyn, how do you know his name?" I looked down "It's on my birth certificate." everything got real silent, no one moved, no one spoke, no one even breathed. I dared to look up and his face went from red to blue, to purple... pretty much every color of the rainbow. I took a step back and that made the world go round again. He said, "How do you know that?" I said "I had Dr. Cullen find it." he said, "Why?" I sighed "Because mom hates me, you barely tolerate me. I needed to know the truth and that was something mom was so secretive about." 

Charlie said, "You weren't supposed to know." I said "Obviously. But how long did you guys think you could keep this a secret?" he said "I don't have time for this. Bella, get inside." Bella and I shared a look so he held open the front door and said "Isabella Marie!" she glanced at me so I nodded and she sighed but went inside. Charlie walked in after her, closed the door and I heard the locks click. I sighed "I think you should go." he said "Im not leaving you here alone." I crossed my arms as he pulled me into a hug and I said "I'll be fine, he'll let me back in soon." Alex said "Come on, Aqua." and opened his passenger door. I said "Alex..." he said "Aqua, he locked you out. I am not leaving you out here, Im not asking you to stay with me if you don't want to. I'll take you to Billy's since you know him." I sighed but got in the car and looked up at Bella staring at me from the window.
