By the time he stopped the car I had my knees pulled to my chest, my arms wrapped around them, and my face buried in my lap, letting the tears silently fall. He got out of the car and a few minutes later my door was opened and I was being picked up, into strong but gentle arms. I turned my head to bury my face in the stranger's chest. Once inside the man sat down and Billy said "Aqua, hun, it will be ok." I whispered "He locked me out. He forced my twin inside and locked me out." if they didn't know I was crying they did now because my voice said it all. Billy said "Alex, I know you want to be here for her, but for tonight I think it's best if you leave. We got her, but she needs time to process. 

The only father she has known her whole life betrayed her, let her come to you." Alex said, "How do I leave her like this?" Billy sighed "It's not easy but know that we will take care of her, and know this is what is best for her right now. I'll call you tomorrow." someone... Alex I think... kissed my head before leaving. Billy said, "Nick, go lay her down, ill take the couch." Nick who I just realized was the one holding me said "No uncle B. I'll take the couch, you sleep in your bed. She can have my room." and with that, I felt movement before being laid on a soft bed and heard him whisper "Aqualyn, just know you're not alone." he took off my shoes and covered me up before leaving the room. I silently cried myself to sleep, but I could have sworn I heard someone sitting outside the bedroom door.

I woke up and sighed as the memories of last night came to me. I heard a knock on the door so I mumbled "Come in." The door opened and Billy rolled in with Nick right behind him. Nick sat on the edge of the bed as Billy said "How do you feel?" I rubbed my eyes and sat up wrapping my arms around my legs and said "I told you he wouldn't want me." Billy said "Then he is dumb. You are a smart, and amazing girl. What happened yesterday?" Nick scooted toward me and rubbed my back as I said "We didn't even make it inside, he came to the porch and immediately was pissed, which I get. I mean Alex did sleep with his wife, but... I have never seen him that mad. He started questioning why he was here and so I said that I got Dr. Cullen to find my birth certificate which had his name on it then asked you to help me and then he ordered Bella inside and locked the door."

Billy grabbed my hand and said, "What do you want to do?" I said "Im sorry Billy, for everything. I am close enough to 18, I am not going back to Moms. I... Im sorry for bringing you into this Billy. I should just go." I went to stand up but Billy said: "But where will you go if you locked out of our house, and you won't go to your mom's?" I said, "I don't know, but ill figure it out." Nick said "Aqua..." but Billy interrupted him and said, "Stay here." I sighed "Billy... I cant." He said, "Why not?" I said "Because... Billy, I love you, you have always been there for me, but you have Nick and Jake and your best friend wants nothing to do with me. And I cant get in the way... the way of your life, or in the way of your friendship."

I left the room and made it to the front door as Jake walked out of his room. Billy said "Aqua." I turned to look at him and he said "You are 17, you cant be on your own yet." I said "Yeah but I don't have a choice. 17 years ago my mom cheated on Charlie and now, he wants nothing to do with me and I don't know Alex so..." Billy said "Aqua we are not arguing about this, I love you like my own daughter and this is how it will go. Nick will take you home, you will get your car and your clothes and then you will come back here and while you and Nick are gone, Jacob and I will make room for you here. In this house." I rolled my eyes as Nick pulled me from the house and to his car. 

As we drove back to Forks I said "I don't want him to think im ungrateful... I just..." Nick said, "Hey, Billy just cares for you, and he wants you to be ok." I said "I know, I just don't want to intrude." he said, "Your not, you are welcome on the rez anytime." I smiled at him before looking out the window as we pulled up. I walked into the house and saw a note.

Aqualyn,

You insisted on knowing something that wasn't your business so get your stuff and get out of my house. Anything left when I return from work will be thrown out. Your mother knows and she doesn't want you to live with her either.

Nick took the letter and crumbled it up, "Ignore him." we went to my room and he helped me pack everything up. Once we had my bags he helped me put them in my car and he said "Already, let's go." I sighed and looked back at the house before getting in my car and following Nick back to Billy's house. Jake was outside waiting for us. He said, "Hey, Uh Nick, the only way we could figure it out is by moving you into my room and giving Aqua your room." I said "Nick, im so..." he covered my mouth as Billy rolled on the porch. "Do not apologize again, Aqua, you can have my room. I want you here. Jake help me." the boys grabbed the bags and headed inside. Billy said, "We all want you." I smiled at him "Thank you so much, Billy, I don't know how I can ever repay you." He said "Simple. Be yourself, and find someone to love and have a family and be the exact opposite of Charlie and Renee." I kissed his cheek "Being the opposite is easy." I went into the room I woke up in to put my stuff away.
