Multiversal Mayhem

First impressions are everything

Fr/N woke up with a grunt and a groan looking up to see not much but open plains and a Twisted town. He sighed as he remembered just hanging out with Meggy and heading to the museum to figure out who the cat burglar was when the void opened up and sucked them in.

"Well if i'm gonna find out anything i might as well head over in that direction." he sighed starting to walk down towards the city. Along the way he heard snoring and headed towards it he found a woman in a over-sized watermelon hoodie. he gently walked around the sleeping figure and found a stick to poke her with. After a few attempts she groggily got up.

"Huh? wha- Fr/N? You look different, you cut your hair?" she asked before noticing she was in a field.

"This wasn't my fault was it?" She asked herself standing up and seeing the city and she took a breath. "Not my fault." she said before facing Fr/N again.

"How do you know my name? i just met you... Melon girl... Wait you must be Melony! Meggy mentioned you back on the island." he said with a smile and she stared at him blankly.

"oh its one of those adventures." She muttered to herself. "yeah, i'm melony, nice to meet you, again." she said shaking his hand.

"you're from the future, aren't you." he deadpanned. she nodded while rubbing the back of her neck.

"Well, im guessing its not too far but im not gonna press it because of the possible consequences." He said making her relax. They head towards the city and come across two guys pinned under rubble. They rush in and free them and make sure they're ok. As they awake they ask what happened and who were they.

"I'm Fr/N and this is Melony. And we don't know but we know where we're headed at least." You say helping them up to their feet and they see the mangled city.

"What the hell happened Masa?" One asked.

"I don't know Lamar but I'm glad we weren't stuck inside one of those buildings." Masa told Lamar.

"You have a point." Fr/N said looking at all the blown windows. "I hate to imagine if there was actually anyone in those buildings." He finished making everyone collectively shudder at the thought.

As they walked through the desolate streets After making sure Lamar and Masa could walk without help Melony summoned a sword to protect them all.

They passed shops that Melony and Fr/N couldn't recognize but Lamar and Masa quickly checked to see if anyone was inside. They came out relieved and creeped out that no one was injured but also no one was there. The group looked around warily before continuing onward. They noticed it was getting dark and cold so they took refuge in one of the stores that they could find cleaning supplies to make sure they could lay down. Once they finished leaning up Masa volunteered to take first shift of watch to only Lamar lamented that he should rest up due to his injuries.

"Don't worry Lamar, i'll take second shift so that he can sleep." Fr/N said making him sigh in resignation. he went over and laid down and tried to sleep but none really could due to the fact that they were worrying about everyone they knew and cared about. As everyone shifted around the unspoken questions were interrupted by some grunts and swearing. This had everyone on edge until bob and boopkins came out of the brush and let Melony explain that they were friendly and her friends. The others let the two join the campfire as things were tense but things seemed to be easier for Lamar and Melony since now they had people to talk anime with.

Fr/N and Masa sighed but went back to the plan and soon they swapped after the others had gotten to sleep. As the sun rose on a new day the air was cold and that alone woke up a few of the group who woke up the rest so they could get moving.

"Lets try to find Our friends first. If we find some answers along the way then all the better." Masa said.

"I agree, the more people we have the less questions we may have." Fr/N added looking at him.

"Alright lets go." Bob said starting to head towards the middle of the town to which everyone else followed.

Little did they know that they would need to find each other soon
