Julie leaned her back against the walls, taking deep breaths and trying to rub her hands against her skin to warm up. But it was just making her colder. Luke looked to the left and right.

"Are we lost?" Julie asked. Her voice was barely a whisper and Luke almost couldn't hear it over the flooding water around their bodies.

"I don't know, Jules. I could take us back to where we were, but I don't know if Mr. Covington will be waiting there for us."

"Then let's keep going left."

Luke nodded and they began down the hall. They silently traveled through the maze of passageways, searching for any way to get to a higher deck. They once again turned a corner only to find a wailing child standing in the water.

Luke immediately ran over and picked him up, holding him tight in his arms.

"Do you see his parents?" Julie said as she turned around trying to catch a sight of someone who was responsible for this kid.

"No. Maybe they got separated."

As Julie walked down the hall, looking into any rooms to see if someone was in it, she realized she could hear the loud sound of water coming from behind the wall. She turned to Luke.

"Do you hear that?"

"No...maybe if this kid wasn't screaming in my ear."

"From behind the wall! It sounds like water."

"Julie, we're on a flooding ship," Luke deadpanned. "There's gonna be fucking water."

"Luke! Just listen."

Luke sighed and put his ear up against the wall. The sound of water rushing up to the wall and pushing into it was obvious.

Luke looked over at Julie. "I can hear it."

At that moment, the sound of the wall cracking could be heard, and water began spraying out of the hole.

"Shit," Julie muttered.

"We have to get out of here."

Before they could run away, a man came rushing around the corner. His eyes lit up when he saw the boy in Luke's arms. He began shouting in a language neither of them could understand and ran up to Luke, pulling the boy into his grasp.

"Sir, you have to get out of here!" Julie shouted. But the man ignored her and ran right towards the wall that would soon come crashing down.

"He can't understand you!" Luke yelled. "We have to get out of here."

Julie bit her lip and looked at where Luke was slowly stepping away, reaching out his hand to her. She reached out and grabbed his hand, picking up speed and running down the hallway.

The deafening cracks of the wall echoed through the hall. Julie turned just in time to see the wall shatter into pieces from the pressure of the water. The icy ocean waves shot out of the hole in the wall, washing away the man and his son.

"Run!" Luke shouted. Julie listened and the two ran for their life. But the water was too quick and knocked them off their feet. They tried to keep their head above water for the few moments before the wave knocked them into a gate. They gripped the bars tightly, pulling themselves out of the water.

A man walked by, his eyes widening when he caught sight of them.

"Help! Do you have keys?" Julie shouted. The man looked around, seemingly wondering if he should leave and get away from here as fast as he could.

"Please!" Luke shouted. "We need to get through here."

The man's breaths were heavy as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a large set of keys, all of them clanking against each other and making an unpleasant sound.

"Which one?" He muttered to himself. He grabbed one of the keys and tried to fit it in the lock, though it was too big. He tried the one beside it, but it didn't fit either.

The water was still rising, ending at their chests.

"Come on!" Julie exclaimed. The man wiped the sweat from his forehead and fumbled with the keys. The keys slipped between his fingers and fell into the water with a plop!

"I'm sorry, I really am," The man muttered, an empathetic look in his eyes, before running off down the hall.

"No! Wait! We need help!" Julie continued to shout at the top of her lungs. Luke looked around with panicked eyes. Suddenly, an idea hit him. He took a deep breath and dived into the water, searching wildly for the keys. He finally dounf them floating by Julie's legs. He grabbed them and swam back up, popping his head out above the water and panting loudly.

"I got them."

Julie looked over with a shocked, but thankful, face. Luke grabbed one of the keys and stuck his hand through the gate. He stretched out his arm to reach the lock but he realized he'd have to go under the water to open it.

He took another deep breath and dipped under, putting the key into the lock and turning. But it wouldn't budge. He slammed the gate in anger before pulling the key out and trying another one.

It turned.

He spun it all the way before pushing the gate, using all his strength to get it open. He came out of the water panting, following Julie out into the hallway.

"Come on!" She yelled. "The deck is this way!"

They walked through the water, which was slowly getting lower as they climbed the stairs up to the deck. They arrived at a door and opened it, letting out a breath of relief at the sight of the deck.

But their relief was soon diminished when they realized the state that the ship was in. It was pointing at an angle out of the water, and it was only a matter of time before it broke in half.

"Holy shit . . ."

There was chaos on the deck. Everyone was running wildly, knocking others over and throwing things off the railing. The band was still playing a song, though it was barely audible over everyone's screaming.

Julie and Luke looked at each other, their eyes communicating silently.

They both knew tonight wouldn't end well.
