About a month later, we finish shooting. This season was seriously brilliant. Now I find myself cleaning out my apartment room with Aidan. Luckily we do both live in LA so it will be easy to meet up with one another.
"Ready?" He asks, wheeling over his suitcase and guitar bag.
"No." I tear up.
"Are you crying?" He worries.
"No, I have a random onion in my pocket. Of course I'm crying. This was the best two months I've ever seriously lived."
"Mine too, I'm really going to miss this place."
"Let's just go.." I trail off. The one thing I really wanted to do before we left never happened.
"Are you okay?" He asks.
"Yeah." I lie.
"Alright." He agrees as he opens the room door. It's like we're moving out. The hotel wouldn't let anyone stay for more than a few weeks so we had no choice but to get an apartment. Now there's no worry about it.We get on the plane. I'm so excited to see my family again, yet it will be weird going back to school. I've never tried to reach out to Jean or Pierce after the whole Aidan issue. That's going to be quite awkward at school. At least I found out that Aidan is planning to move to my school.
Ring ring! The shrill sound of my phone plays.
"Sorry." I apologize as Aidan opens his eyes.
"It's alright." He says yawning. I answer my phone.
"Hello? Hayden? Someone on the receiving end asks.
"Pierce." I answer. Aidan's eyes fly open wider at the name.
"I'm so sorry I didn't talk to you sooner, Jean got mad."
"I don't want to talk to either of you." I snap. "How am I positive Jean isn't there, listing."
"She is." He admits.
"I'm coming home now, I'd rather you not talk to me, thanks." And those my friends are the final words I said to him before I hung up the phone. I don't want my old life back. I made a great one with my castmates and new friends in Toronto, I don't need my Los Angeles life anymore.
"Can we move to Toronto?" I groan.
"Second season?" Aidan shrugs.
"I hope." I say, resting my head on his shoulder. He clutches my hand in his as I close my eyes, allowing myself to drift off into a deep sleep."Wake up, we're back." Aidan shakes me.
"Great." I say sarcastically as I stretch my arms. I get out of my seat, allowing Aidan through to the aisle. We walk off, preparing for the cab ride. I put my phone in my pocket, ignoring the million missed calls and text messages from both Pierce and Jean. We grab our bags from the baggage conveyor and walk out of the airport to the nearest bus stop.
"Ready to go home?" I ask.
"No." He admits, "can we go to your house please?"
"Sure." I laugh, "it would be fun introducing you to my brothers."
"Second thoughts." He laughs too.
"Oh come on, they're not going to kill you, I don't think." His eyes open wide as soon as the words 'I don't think' leave my mouth. "I'm only joking, they're harmless."
"Phew. At least I picked up a thing or two about fighting from the show."
"Yeah, no one will mess with me again." We both laugh harder as we get into a cab on our way to my house.I knock on my front door and is greeted by my mum, tears overflowing in her eyes.
"Welcome home!" She pulls me into a tight hug. Normally I would be complaining that she's choking me but I hug her back, dropping the handle of my suitcase. A minute later, she lets go of me. "Is this the Aidan boy?"
"Yep." Aidan says with a smile. "It's great to meet you Mrs Kooper."
"You too young man, come in, come in." Me and Aidan step into my house. It hasn't changed one bit. Same staircase, same hallway, same paint color.
"Hayden!" Two young voices screech. With them comes two young boys racing towards me, jumping on me. I laugh as they steady themselves. "We've missed you!" My brothers Owen and Alec smile.
"I've missed you too." I agree then turn to Aidan. "This is my best friend, Aidan Gallagher."
"Are you Hayden's boyfriend?" Alec asks. Aidan blushes a bit as some heavy steps comes from the stairs.
"Hayden has a boyfriend?" Ethan screams.
"NO!" Me and Aidan answer together.
"She hasn't grown just yet." Ethan says, ruffling my hair. "Welcome home little sis."
"I'm not little anymore." I pout. My family plus Aidan laugh. "You all are so awful."
"We're just joking Number Eight." Aidan jokes.
"Not the time Number Five." I say, tapping his nose.
"Quit it." He cries. I laugh as he covers his nose.
"Make yourself at home Aidan, we have dinner cooking. How long will you be staying?" My mum wonders.
"Well my mom doesn't know I'm home right now so uhm.." he looks at me, "I guess I can leave whenever."
"Please join us for dinner at least." Ethan invites.
"Sure." He smiles, allowing his dimples to show and his green eyes light up.
