Chapter 4 - Population 5,863

The population went down a bunch. It's now at 5,863 and before it was in the 8,000's the city put everyone in lockdown and I stopped going to school... Sadly. Elija.... She's gone. I think she died 2 days ago but her name was on the list of people who passed because of this disease or whatever it is. This city is dying and we need to leave immediately. When we came here there were somewhere between 34,000 and 35,000 people and now there are only 5,863 left. I think I saw somewhere that some scientist think that it's a murder disease that can carry through peoples hands, and thats what makes point more towards me. My mom said that we should go to the doctor about my bumps yesterday but I just said they were going away, because i'm afraid that the doctor will find something in them or something and they take me into a lab and do test on the bumps or they'll find out there the cause and kill me so I can't spread it anymore. I think I need to make the choice to either not touch people anymore so it doesn't spread or tell my mom and make my life miserable after that. I'm going to think about it but right now I think I'm going to stop touching people. When I think about not touching people that could also mean not touching things other people are going to touch but I don't know if it spreads that way too. Actually, I'm pretty sure it does because I know for sure that I have not made direct contact or touched 30,000 people in 6 months, that's highly impossible for me at least. Another factor is I've obviously touched my brother, my mom and my dad so why haven't they got sick? Maybe it's something with our family in this city, maybe they've touched other people so that's why there's 30,000 dead because of the same thing. But what do I know as everyone says "I'm just a stupid kid, who doesn't know anything." But just thinking about people's faces if I say I know what's happening.
