Now, we will talk about species.
There are multiple species that are overused a lot: Nekos, Demons, Angels and Slender-beings.
Those are the most used and it's getting kinda old, so try to stop with that.
Creating a human OC is the better way to start, I understand that it's kinda boring but it's the safest way.
Stop with Hybrids! This is also overused!
Things you should avoid:
-Nekos. They are supposed to be cute, not creepy so stop.
-Hybrids. No, just no. Stop.
-Angels. Aren't they supposed to be good? Stop with making them kill people, that's not their job.
-Demons. Literally used as an excuse to kill. Stop.
-Slender-beings. Overused and a bit cringe ngl. Also stop with OC that just have Slender's tendrils for some reason. (I'll explain that later)
-Zalgo-beings. Lazari is okay, but making too much Zalgo-beings OC kinda ruins her story.
Things you can do:
-Human. Many variations are possible: undead, possessed...etc...
-Ghost. It's getting a bit overused but you can combat that with a well written backstory.
-Animal. Smile dog and Grinny cats are literally animals, so why not make an animal OC?
-Monster. Create your own monster, think outside the box!
-Anything that I might have forgotten.
