Chapter 2: The Great Escape

Harvey was true to his word as I watched him get closer to my tower. My heart thumped in my throat and my blood ran cold through my body. I was about to venture out into the real world, I was about to live my dream. A series of questions popped up into my mind:

What if you don't belong there?

What if Uncle Merlin finds out?

What if you hate it?

I didn't have much time to think of answers to these questions, as Zelle had appeared, and so had my tour guide. I slid my hair out of the window hesitantly, worried, but also pumped with adrenelin. Zelle curled around my wrist as I swung down my hair. For someone who ad never done this before, I would have to admit that my hair swinging skills were level expert. In no time, my feet met the cool grass, and it was this moment that I realized how short I was compared to Harvey.

It was also here that I realized this wasn't a dream. This was reality, and there was no turning back.

"Are you sure you want to do this?"He questioned, understandably anxious about my eagerness. "You do realize that you can't get back up there now?"

"Ahhh chill Harvey? I thought you were the cool courageous boy? This was a great idea! I've never felt so alive!"

I swear I saw Zelle raise his eyebrows sarcastically. Still, together we wandered off away from my tower, away from all I knew. I took in my surroundings, noticing how big the tower was for the first time. People must have been able to see it for miles. The tips of my hair were still at the base of the tower, even though we had both walked a good 40ft away.

"I'VE CHANGED MY MIND THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA GET ME BACK UP THERE THIS INSTANT!" I cried, surprising myself, not to mention Harvey.

"Eliana, calm dow-"

"Whew! Don't know where that came from! C'mon, lets go!"

"um.. okay?"

"THIS IS NOT OKAY! HE'S GOING TO FIND US! I'M DEAD HARVEY, DEAD!"

"Shhh! Don't wor-"

"Are you kidding?! This is so much funnn!! WHOOOOP!"

"Are you sure you're okay now? You seem hesitant."

"OMG DO I? I HAVE TO GO HOME! WHAT WILL MY UNCLE DO WITHOUT ME? HARVEY HE NEEDS ME! HE NEEDS ME!"

"Look, Eliana, if you want to go home, then good luck, because you live in a freaking 60ft tower, and you just jumped out of it. Stay calm and come with me, after all, this is your dream, and now is your chance to live it," Harvey smiled at me, stretching out his arms for a hug.

"Y'know, I don't usually hug on the first date" I smiled, wrapping my arms around his chest and returning the hug. "However you, my friend, are an exception."

When we hugged I could hear his heart beat fast. And that made me feel safe.

"So," He said, "We're on a date?"

And there I blushed.
