It was at this very moment I was extremely grateful that all my hair was in a manageable braid, for it's not easy to get around fast with 60ft of hair trailing behind you. I sensed Uncle Merlin behind us, but didn't dare to look back, so I trusted Harvey to lead me through the crowds. Once we were surrounded by floods of people, I felt better, but we wern't safe. My uncle could sniff us out like a hound, and then I would really be in for it. We had to go somewhere he would never think of looking, and Harvey knew just the place.

Harvey took a few harsh turns, and in the wash of the crowd we didn't seem too noticeable. I could tell however, that Uncle Merlin had aged slightly, and small wrinkles in his face had started to appear. It instantly occurred to me that this was because he hadn't gotten my song from me today, and this made me even more suspicious.

Suddenly, Harvey lead me into a cave on the edge of the city, and now I felt safe.

"Phew, that was close," he whispered, closer to me than I thought.

"Too close," I whispered back,

The cave was dark, and I knew he couldn't see me, but I smiled at him, and imagined him smiling back. In that cave I felt happier than I had ever felt in my 18 years up in that tower, and it all lead down to Harvey. The hope of the twins returning burned on inside my heart.

Though my world was crumbling to pieces, and I had  a crazy uncle on my tracks, ready to get me, I felt like the new world I was entering was so much more important to me. I wanted to start a life in the city, to watch out for the gorgeous princess twins.

"Harvey?"

"mmh?"

"I feel you in my heart,"

I heard him chuckle then, and I liked it.

"I feel you in my heart too, Eliana," He said at last, which confirmed my feelings, and maybe even increased them.

"Harvey?"

"yeah?"

"Is it safe to go out now?"

I felt his movement beside me, the heard his footsteps get quieter and quieter as he neared the entrance to the cave. Soon his footsteps disappeared, which was peculiar considering the cave we wer in wasn't that big. Eventually, I got up, to see where he had gone off to.

Nowhere. Harvey had vanished.

I begun to panic as I realized there was no trace of Harvey near the cave. Had he left me? God knows where he was, but I was now completely sure that I was alone.

I ventured into the centre of the city, getting a few interesting looks from the townspeople as I cluelessly walked through. I hadn't noticed all the stares I had been getting when I was with Harvey, but now it was blatantly clear.

The happiness and joy of the city didn't match my mood. I felt out of place and depressed in a town of such cheer.

All of a sudden, it dawned on me.

Merlin had Harvey.
