When you were dropped back into the Macmillan Estate, you almost had a panic attack. You don't think you can stand for it to be him. Not after... Not... Not after... It takes you a long while to pluck up the courage to move from your starting position, but after taking a slow, careful walk, you realize that there aren't any bear traps littering the ground. You sigh in relief, almost collapsing in a heap on the ground. Okay... okay. Just... nice and easy, now. Take it slow...

You didn't manage to run into a survivor by the time you started to work on a generator, but you tried to stay calm and focused. You're ok. You don't know who the killer is, but they're not here, so you're gonna be ok... Controlled breathing was your saving grace. Finally getting a grip on yourself, you worked on your gen quietly, making sure to keep an eye out for any threats. When you were three quarters done with it, you saw... something shoot out from behind a tree like a bat out of hell. And since there's no chainsaw accompanying it... Oh shit...

   The Blight.

Well. Shit. You began to sweat a little. Every horrible, awful, no good scenario began to flash through your mind. Those vials of his... You shuddered, desperately trying to shake the thought from your mind. Don't... Just- don't. Finishing the gen, you sit on the ground, struggling to stay calm. You bury your face in trembling hands. You can't do this anymore...

   "Psst! Hey, you alright?"

You nearly jump out of your skin. It's just Meg, crouching down in front of you. You pinch the bridge of your nose and take a deep breath.

"Fuck. Me. Meg. You- sigh - scared the fuck out of me." You drag your hand down your face dramatically, giving her a disapproving glare. Your not actually mad, just- fucking hell.

"S-Sorry... Saw you sitting there all sad and wanted to make sure you're alright." She gives you an apologetic smile. Ah, whatever. At least you're not alone now.

"Y-Yeah... I, uh, had a really bad trial last time and I jus- just don't wanna be alone, you know?" It's a little pathetic, but you don't care. You don't think your heart can take being alone with a killer anymore...

"Oh, yeah! You can stick with me! And if the killer sees us, I'll distract them and you can get away- Hey! Don't give me that look! I'm a fast runner, and I'll be able to get away no problem!"

You sigh heavily. "Fine. Just don't be stupid, alright?" Meg gives you a nod and a thumbs up, before offering you a hand up. You accept, standing up with a loud pop.

"Hmm... This way!" Meg's already on the move. You shove your hands in your pockets and follow silently. You're still beyond anxious, but you feel a tad more confident with Meg here. The two of you make your way towards a shack, spying a silent generator from the doorway.

Before you two could make it, you hear the roar of the Blight suddenly draw close. You back peddle, terrified. Meg readies herself to run for her, and probably your, life. Slamming into a nearby tree, the Blight angles himself towards the two of you, twisted cane raised in the air, preparing to strike. You twisted your ankle on a gnarled tree root, stumbling backwards before landing flat on your ass. All the while, Meg had to jump out of the way of the Blight rushing forward to not get hit. Everything was moving so fast... You panicked, scrambling to your feet, only to repeatedly trip all over yourself. You curse yourself, readying for the eventual attack to connect to the back of your head... Only it doesn't. The Blight decided that Meg was the more appealing target. They're long gone at this point, you not knowing what direction they took off in. Shit... Thanks, Meg. I'm sorry...

You quickly make your way to the shack, pausing to look through a crack in the wall. Nothing..? Nothing. For now. You lean against the wall, trying to compose yourself. Okay... Generator. Gotta start the gen-
