I sat on the grass as I looked at the river. Rindo sat beside me with a little distance between us.

"I'm sorry if I went too far" I turned to him with surprise. His eyes was averted as he apologized. I didn't know he could apologize.

I turned my eyes back to look at the river as I lifted a hand up my necklace pinching it.

"My mother gave this to me when I was still a kid. They were about to go to States that day and I didn't stop crying so they gave me this necklace and they promised to come back on December but-" I paused as I let go of the pendant, swallowing the lump that was beginning to form inside my throat. "Mom died and Dad was never found due to a plane crash" I finished. I took a deep breath as I turned to face Rindo.

"This necklace is what gave me hope to wake up everyday and survive." I lowly smiled. I slowly stood up grabbing my bag. Rindo seems to be in a trance as he looked at the river with a lost look.

"By the way. What time is it now?" I asked Rindo turned to me then he grabbed his phone showing me the screen.

'05:59'

"Shit!! I'm late!!" I hurried to run up but was stop when Rindo pulled me back. "I'll drive you there fast" He sighed as he pulled me with him.

"Good evening Sir, welcome to Harvy's..." Rindo looked at the girl from afar as he sipped his milkshake.

The words that (Y/n) said earlier kept on replaying inside his head as guilt started to stir inside his heart when he saw that she was close to crying when she talked about it.

He slammed his hand over the table as he groaned gaining some attention who looked towards his table.

"What's that idiot doing?" (Y/n) sighed as she continued to walk towards the counter.

"What a scary boyfriend you have there (Y/n)-chan" I turned to my fellow worker as I shook my hand whilst waving my hand.

"He's not my boyfriend!" I whispered-yell earning a gush from her as she nudged my elbow with a teasing look on her face.

"Yeah right" she chuckled as she walked towards the costumer who raised a finger up.

After the shift was done and the restaurant was finally closing. I changed my uniform putting my school uniform on as I went out with my bag in hand.

"Good work today!" The manager said as he raised his thumbs up. I bowed my head as. i smiled at him then I walked out of the restaurant letting out a yawn.

"See you tomorrow (Y/n)-chan" My fellow co-workers said as they waved their hands. Now I think about it, I'm the youngest worker here. I waved my hands back as I began to walk to an opposite direction. Suddenly a motorbike stopped beside me, I turned to meet Rindo's gaze.

"Hop on" He said, jerking his head motioning me to ride on his bike.

"I-I can walk on my own" I said waving my hand. He ignored me as he pulled my hand towards him.

"I didn't ask you Nerd." He coldly stated. I gulped as I looked at the vacant seat behind him.

"If you say so" I mumbled as I mounted on his bike. I put a hand on his shoulders as I fixed my skirt for a bit. His shoulders was tense when I touched it.

"A-Are you okay?" I asked.

"Can you move for a bit. Your flat boobs are leaning on my back" He airily groaned. I slid back as blush crept up my face.

"Sorry!" I yell, pulling my hand back as I looked away.

"Are you ready?" He asked as he glanced over his shoulder.

"Y-Yeah" I hummed, he pulled my hand from behind him making me clutch on his side.

"You should learn to hold Nerd" He let go of my hand then he started his engine.

The ride was comfortably silent as the cold wind hits my face, my hair behind me flowed with the wind as I looked at the vehicles that we passed by.

We stopped in front of the house as I got off the bike then I slightly bowed "Thanks"

"I did to atone for what I did so there's no need to thank me" He said as he looked away.

"O-Oh okay. Uhmm Bye" I said lifting my hand up as I turned my back about to walk away but immediately stopped in my tracks as i turned to him. "T-Take care Rindo-san" I said then I turned my head back as I proceeded to walk.

Rindo lied down his bed as he looked at the ceiling. "I did it to atone for what I did nothing more, nothing less" He mumbled to himself.

"Hey Rindo are you chanting some curses or something?" Ran asked as he sat up turning to Rindo.

"You've been at that since you came home are you sure you didn't hit your head or something?!" He asked, raising his tone.

"Shut up brother, I'm trying to sleep" He chided as he turned to the side, closing his eyes.

"Wha-?!" Ran who was already pissed off tried to keep his cool as he laid back down his bed.

"I did it to atone for what I did nothing more, nothing less" Rindo mumbled making Ran cover his ears in annoyance.

The next morning as (Y/n) entered the library she walked towards the shelf as she brushed her fingers passed the books until her finger stopped on a somewhat familiar book.

She pulled the book from the shelf as she opened it.

Her eyes lit up as soon as she felt a nostalgic feeling. It was the book that made her cry.

She lowly smiled as she closed the book then she walked towards her favorite spot. But as soon as she got there she spotted Rindo sitting across her favorite seat reading a book with an uninterested look on his face as he flipped the pages.

'S-S-SHOULD I JUST FIND ANOTHER SEAT?!' She silently gasped as she stood in her place. Shaking her head, she looked at her seat with determination. 'I'll just ignore him, that's all!' She took a deep breath then sighed as she began to walk to her seat.

Silently pulling the chair back, she sat down then she opened the book as she began to read.

"Hey nerd what you readin'?" He boredly said as he lifted his lids up and looked at her. She flinched as she nervously looked up.
