Johann felt a cold breeze on her neck while she was walking in the winter snow. She was barefoot with her toes turning blue and purple. But she ignored the fact her feet were numb. She had her arms crossed to her chest trying to keep her hands warm. She saw a stream nearby so she walked toward it. As she was walking towards it she heard someone yelling something. But they were too far away for her to know what they were saying. She looked around trying to find the person. But there was nobody in sight. After a while, she stopped looking around and ignored the yelling person. Chances were she was probably going crazy from the cold and there was nobody out there. She kept walking until she got to the stream. It was a very pretty place with dense woods behind it. In the middle was a big white frozen weeping tree. She thought it looked a little familiar but she can't remember where. After thinking about it for a while her focus went back to the stream since that wasn't her biggest concern.

The stream looked like it was a picture. Once moving but it was frozen still. She bent down to get a closer look at the frozen waves. She ran her fingers across the bending ice. It was smooth and clear with no snow on it. She looked at one of the bigger waves to see her reflection. Her lips were purple and her cheeks were flushed red. She didn't know how long she'd been out here before she realized she was frozen. Before leaving the stream she taped her purple nail on the ice. Making it ring a beautiful tune. She smiled as the ringing continued down the icy stream. The sound was soft and warm it distracted her from the stinging pain of frostbiting.

She tapped it once more before getting up and going in any direction. But this time the ringing got louder and louder. She looked down at the stream to see that it was cracking. There was fear and confusion in her eyes seeing the stream cracking while the ringing continued. When she saw that the cracks were starting to come on land she quickly realized that she was on an iced lake. She started running from the cracking ice. But it was hard and painful to run with frostbitten feet. But the only thing keeping her going was her adrenaline. A warm tear slid down her frozen cheek from fear and pain. She didn't know what was going to happen to her.

She slipped on a slippery patch of ice, slamming her head on the hard surface. The ice cracked around her while being unconscious. The ice grew apart making her sink into the freezing water. Her body went into shock from how cold the water was forcing her to wake up. She opened her eyes slowly, looking up at the ice above her. She had no energy to swim up to the surface. Her whole body was numb with pain. She saw the sun glistening on top of the water. It was quiet. She slowly closed her eyes as she ran out of air, accepting her defeat.
