SAUD'S POV
I sat up and sighed after collecting my thoughts. I really should check on Anne. I shouldn't have kicked her out like that. I reached for my phone that was beside me and looked at the time. It was six-forty-five. I got up and went to the door and took a deep breath. I opened the door and went downstairs to see what everybody was doing. I didn't see anyone on the couch so I went into the kitchen. Zach was sitting on a stool on his phone. I walked up to him and sat down on a stool beside him.
"I ordered pizza because I was starving. It should be getting here soon."
I nodded and looked around.
"Where's Anne?"
He looked up from his phone and then shrugged.
"The last time I saw her she looked depressed laying on the couch. I was too busy painting my nails to see where she went. But if I had to guess I would say the bathroom."
"And when was this?"
"Umm, about twenty minutes ago."
I got up and went upstairs knocking on the bathroom door in the hallway. There was no answer and the door was unlocked. I tried the one in the bedroom but it was the same. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen.
"She's not in any of the bathrooms." I said tapping my finger on the counter.
"Maybe she's outside with Moose?"
"No, Moose is over there." I said pointing
"Okay, then just call her."
I nodded and got out my phone and started calling her. When I did there was a ringing noise coming from the couch. I went over and picked it up showing Zach.
"Look, I don't know what you want me to do. I told you all the things that I know."
"Well, maybe you would've known more if you would just look up for once in your life instead of looking down."
"Excuse me, sir, it's not my fault I don't know where she is. Just like look around she'll show up."
I just shook my head walking to the front door. Her shoes were gone. I looked through the closet and none of my coats were gone. I grabbed a coat and went into the kitchen.
"I'm going outside in the woods to see if she's there."
"Okay, good luck."
I rolled my eyes and went outside and turned on my flashlight on my phone. I walked through the trails until I got to the tree. I didn't see anyone. I tried calling her name, but I got no response. I sighed and looked around again before I left. When I got to the house Zach was waiting on the couch.
"Did you find her?"
"If I did she would be with me right now. Does it look like she's here!?" I said pacing.
"Okay, I know you're stressed about Anne, but you need to calm down. How about we sit down and paint your nails? Trust me it's very relaxing. Unless you're bad at it."
I instantly stopped and look at him.
"You're telling me to relax and paint my nails when Anne is outside without a coat. When it's thirty-eight degrees out!"
"No, I'm telling you to calm down because I know how capable she is by herself. She'll be fine until you find her."
"Obviously she's not capable to realize that it's dangerous to go outside without a coat.-"
"Maybe she had the feeling she needed to get out. Without thinking."
I stared at him and then looked down sighing.
