SHIGARAKI TOMURA wasn't one to to prioritize someone over his own goals, but when he first saw the power the girl known as Shiro Todoroki had displayed in the USJ– he had made it his duty to recruit her into their side.
Shiro Todoroki was a powerful girl, he knew that, he had seen her at the sports festival. He had seen the raw display of strength she showed. The way she handled her quirk was amazing even if her body wasn't built for it at all. He saw the way she had mastered the use of swords at the USJ. He saw how Dabi held a familiarity for the girl and so did she. He saw it all
He also saw how she was forcefully thrown aside by her brother at the USJ all while calling her a nuisance. He had seen how no one had congratulated her for winning third place at the sports festival. He saw how Endeavor had told the public of his four children. He had seen how much she reminded him of himself, shunned away by the hero society, no- by society itself
When he had first laid his eyes on Shiro Todoroki, Tomura Shigaraki was entranced both by her beauty and her power. He didn't know how she could be shunned away like that? Was it because her body didn't agree with her quirk? She's a Todoroki is she not? So why? He couldn't wrap the idea around his head, but all he knew was he needed that power on his side.
So seeing her walk through the portal his master had created made him hold his breath and hope that he wasn't dreaming, but no- there she was in all her glory. Shiro Todoroki sat on the floor beside an unconscious Dabi as she laid his head on her lap, leaning against a wall, eyes drooping with fatigue and dry tear stains on her cheeks.
He didn't know how she wasn't freaking out right now as all the villains stared at her. Suddenly a telepathic message from his master went through Tomura's head "Tomura, take care of this girl just how I have taken care of you, nurture her powers for she will stand by your side from this day forward" Tomura's red eyes widened as he noticed how Shiro had stiffened up and suddenly locked eyes with the baby blue haired man.
