Chapter 3

Rafes pov:
I'm in my room chilling looking at y/n's Instagram when I hear the fire alarm go off. I rush down stairs to the kitchen and see the stove on fire. "What happened!" I yell. "No time for questions get out!" My dad yells. I run out of the house holding my phone. The fire department comes and starts to put out the fire. Then the news company comes and start going on live. 'There must be so many views a lot of people watch the news at night' I think to myself. I'm watching the fire department put out the fire as I feel someone cling onto my arm. I quickly look over and see y/n holding onto my arm. Gosh she's so cute, especially when she looks up at me. Y/n's quite a stubborn girl but is very cute when she's stubborn. "Oh my gosh y/n you scared me" I say to her. "Oh sorry, what happened I saw it on the news" she asks me. I didn't know y/n watched the news? "My dad caught the stove on fire" I say back responding to her question. "Oh where are you going to stay?" She asks me. "I don't know maybe a hotel" I respond back dumbly. "Really a whole family in one hotel room? Not possible" She says back. Why would she think that I Rafe Cameron would share a hotel room with my family. "No I would have my own room" I say back responding to her. "Oh, ok maybe you could stay at mine and book a hotel tomorrow" she suggests. "I don't think that's a good idea your brother and John B hate me" I say back. She stares at me blankly. "If they hate you they wouldn't have let me see you just now and I could sneak you in" she says. "Why not we just walk in like a normal person and hope that they don't see me" she looks at me like I'm smart. "Or that now come on" we both walk to her car. She sits in the drivers seat and I sit in the passengers seat. She looks at me tiredly, "Rafe I'm tired can you drive" she says while giving me puppy dog eyes. I couldn't resist her bright blue eyes just shining at me. "Fine" I say. We swap seat and I start to drive away. I notice her looking out the window blankly every now and then, I didn't think much of it though. We arrive at her house. We both hop out and run in the house. Luckily John b and JJ were in their bedrooms so we were able to make it to her room. I walk in. Y/n just stands there for a second. "I'm home!" She yells. I look at her. "Okay!" JJ yells back. Y/n walks in and closes the door. She stands at the door. I watch her every move. (sorry ik that's sounds creepy😬) "sorry there's only one bed you might have to sleep on the floor" she says avoiding eye contact a bit. "Or we could top and tale, I sleep with my head on the feet area and you on the pillow" I say without thinking. She looks at me then the bed then back at me. "But then your going to have free feet pics" she says. I laugh, "I sleep out of the covers so I don't see your feet" I say back. She seems kinda annoyed. "Fine" she says. She puts her keys on her bedside table and climbs into bed. I lay down on the other end of the bed and close my eyes. I think she thought I was asleep. I suddenly get this feeling someone's staring at me. "Gosh he's so cute when he sleeps" she says. I smile. Did y/n Maybank just call me cute?! "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry I thought you were asleep" she says whispering shouting. I don't reply just smile. I am half asleep then hear y/n get up. She goes to her closet and grabs something. Next thing I know there's a blanket on me. I get warmer. Then fall asleep.

Y/n's pov:
I wake up and see Rafe still asleep. I look over at my alarm clock and see that it 6:20. Why did I have to wake up so early? I grab my phone and go on hotel travago. "Hotel for how many days" I say to my self. "3 weeks" Rafe says half asleep"oh your awake good morning sleepy head" I say to Rafe. "Eh what time is it" I look at the time on my phone "it's 6:24" I say. "It's so early can I go back to sleep" Rafe asks me tiredly. "No we need to get you out before JJ and John B wake up" I say talking a but louder than whispering. "Just 5 more minutes" he says looking at me with puppy dog eyes. How could I ever resist them so of course I said until I'm finished booking this hotel out. Rafe rolls over and I look down at my phone. JJ opens my door a bit and sees me and Rafe. I look up and see him. "Y/n!" JJ yells. Rafe opens his eyes and sees JJ "oh shit y/n your in trouble" Rafe says. I look over at Rafe, "I know but your not making it any better" I say annoyed. "Y/n come talk with me outside of the room" JJ says. I look over at JJ. "Why I already know what your going to say" I say. "What am I gonna say then" "why is Rafe here then I'm going to say I invited him to stay the night because he had no where to stay, then you will go on about how Rafe isn't aloud here then I'll say if random girls are aloud here then Rafe is" JJ looks down, "shit that was very accurate" Rafe looks at JJ "that's what you always say so don't be surprised". Rafe looks at JJ shocked "jeez man how many random girls have you had over" Rafe says. JJ looks over at Rafe "just stay out of it" JJ says. "And you guys don't fight it's 6:30 in the morning" they both look at you. "Well I'm going to finish booking this hotel for Rafe then go to the drivers place to get my license card then to the gym" I say looking down at my phone. JJ leaves but doesn't close the door. "Jay! You forgot to close the door!" I yell waking the whole house up. Rafe looks over at me. JJ comes in and closes your door. "Jay?" Rafe says surprised at what I called JJ. "Yeah Jay that's what I call him sometimes" I say awnsering his question. I look down at my phone and book a hotel for Rafe. 5 minutes later I find one that is affordable and book it. "Ok sleepy head you can go back to sleep I booked the hotel" Rafe looks over at me tiredly. "But you said not to" I look over at him causing us to lock eyes. "That was before JJ saw you so you can go back to sleep" I say. "But now I'm not tired!" Rafe says whispering yelling. "Then do you want to go to the hotel and we can chill in it for a bit" I say. "Yeah sure ig" (I guess for those who don't know) Rafe says. I get up and get changed (in the bathroom). Rafe gets up. "Come on let's go now" I say. We walk to the car and hop in. I'm about to sit in the drivers seat but Rafe runs over to me and sits there instead "im driving, you Missy don't have your license yet" Rafe says. I look at him and roll my eyes. I smile and jiggle my keys. "But you don't have these" I say while smiling. JJ comes out of the house and sits on the porch and watches Rafe and me very closely. I laugh. Rafe stands up and tries to get my keys but I run away from him. He chases after me. "Haha catch me if you can" I yell so he could hear me. I look behind me still running and don't see Rafe. Suddenly I run into someone. I quickly look in front of me and see Rafe standing there. I look up at him. "Shit Rafe don't do that you scared me" he looks down at me. "Maybe don't run into me" I look over at the car, Rafe notices me looking at the car. I start walking over to it. He runs and stands in front of me. "Keys" he puts his hand out waiting for me to give him my keys. I sigh and give him the keys. Me and Rafe haven't noticed JJ yet and we start walking over to my car. "Y/n!" I look over to where the sound was coming from and see JJ. "Are you really going to let him drive your car?!" He yells at me. "Well I have no choice I don't have my license yet!" I yell back then continue walking back to my car. JJ keeps complaining to me about how I'm letting a look drive my car but I ignore him and hop in the passenger seat. Rafe is already in the drivers seat. Rafe looks over at JJ and gives him a dirty ish look. I look over at Rafe. "Stop with the dirty looks now start the car and leave" I say. I look over at the time and see that it's already 7. Rafe starts driving off. I look at him, I smile a little bit without noticing. I quickly stop smiling and look away. After a minute of getting lost in my thoughts I get a notification on my phone. Rafe looks over then back at the road I look down at my phone and see a message.
Unknown: hey there y/n, it's the drivers license learning place. We just wanted you to know that you can come collect your officer driving licence card whenever today or tomorrow.

I turn off my phone and look at Rafe. "Change of plans can we go to driving for you the notification was them telling me I can get my license card whenever so can we get it now?" Rafe quickly looks over at me then back at the road. "Yeah sure" he says. He turns a corner and we soon arrive at the place. He parks the car, I unbuckle my seat belt. Rafe looks at me, "do you want me to come in?" He asks me. I look over at him, "I mean if you want to I'm not forcing you" he unbuckles his seat belt. "K I'll come in" he says. Rafe hop's out of the car first then closes the door. I hop out and close the door then Rafe locks the doors. We walk into the place and arrive at the front desk. "Hello and welcome to driving for you, how may I help you?" The lady at the front desk says to us. "Driving License card for Y/n Maybank" I say, she nods and walks over to the draws behind her. She grabs out a drivers license card with my name on it and walks over to us and sits down. She puts a peice of paper and a pen in front of me. "Please sign there and write the date to confirm it's you" she says pointing to where I have to sign and write the date. I sign and write the date on the paper. Rafe admires my neat hand writing. I put the pen back on the paper. She takes the papers then places the drivers license card in front of me. "Thank you" I say taking the card. "Your welcome, have a nice day" she says. "You too" I say then walk off with Rafe. I put my hand out to him, "keys" I say. He puts the keys in my hands and we walk out to the car. I hop in the drivers seat and Rafe sits in the passenger seat. We both buckle up and I start the car, I start driving to the hotel. "You have very nice hand writing" Rafe says looking out the window. I glance over at him then back at the road. "Oh please that has only numbers wait until you see words" I laugh a little bit while saying that. Rafe looks over at me. "God donate to me I have sit writing" he says. "I don't know how to do that but if I did I would, trust me I've seen your writing it is shit" I say, I giggle a little. I stop giggling when I realize he's not laughing with me. The car rides a bit awkward from then on. We finally arrive at the hotel. I stop the car outside the service room. "So what did you put the room under mine or your name" he says looking over at me breaking the silence. I look over at him. "I put it under my name so get two keys" he looks over at me with a 'are you serious' face, "what so you can just randomly walk into my hotel room in the middle of the night and watch me sleep" I smile. "Of course" he looks at me concerned, "I was obviously joking jeez!" We both laugh. "So why do you want a key then." I stop laughing. "So I can visit you and don't have to wait ages for you to open the door I'll just knock then open it" I say. He sighs then gets out of the car, he shuts the door and walks into the service room.
Rafes pov:
Me and y/n finally get to the hotel and she stops outside the service room. I look over at her, "So what did you put the room under, mine or your name?" I ask her breaking the awkward silence, she looks over at me. "I put it under my name so get two keys" she says. I look at her with a 'are you serious' face, "what so you can just randomly walk into my hotel room in the middle of the night and watch me sleep?" I ask joking. She smiles. "Of course" I look at her concerned, "I was just joking jeez!" We both laugh. I stop laughing but she still is. "So why do you want a key then" I say curious. She stops laughing, it was kinda creepy really. "So I can visit you and don't have to wait ages for you to open the door, I'll just knock then open it" she says to me. I sigh then hop out of the car, I shut the door and walk into the service room. I walk to the front desk and wait for the man to notice me. "Hello how may I help you" he says politely. "Um a room for Y/n Maybank" I say. He looks at me closer. "You don't look like y/n she put her gender and she said that she was a girl" he say questioning what I just said. "Oh we're friends she's in the car" I say. He looks behind me and at y/n. I turn around and see y/n looking at us, she waves. He stops looking at y/n and I turn around. The man grabs a key and hands it to me. "Um, can I please have two keys one for me one for her" I ask remembering what y/n had told me. The man sighs then grabs another key and hands it to me, "Thanks" I say. I walk out of the service room and to the car. I try opening the door but y/n had locked it. I knock on the window and she looks over at me and laughs. "Come on unlock the door!" I say raising my voice. "Can't you walk?" She says. I look at her closer, "no it's on the forth floor!" I say. She rolls her eyes then unlocks the car. I hop in and close the door. I put the keys in the cup holder then buckle up.
Y/n's pov:
After Rafe walks in the service room I lock the doors on purpose to make him walk, I mean it is his hotel room. I'm watching him talk to the man at the front desk then suddenly they both look over at me, I smile and wave. They look away then Rafe gets the keys then the man gives him another key. 'What is he doing with the other key? Maybe it's mine' I think. Rafe starts walking over so I look away. He tries to open the door but can't because I locked it. He knocks on the window, I look up at him. "Come on y/n unlock the door!" He says raising his voice so I can hear him through the window. "Can't you walk" I say also raising my voice so he can hear me. He looks at me closer as if I'm dumb. "No it's ok the forth floor!" He says, I roll my eyes and unlock the door. He hop's in then closes the door. I don't start moving until he's buckled up, I mean safety first. He puts the keys in the cup holder and buckles up. I look down at the cup holder and see only two keys. I start driving off. "So what room is it" I ask trying to be polite. "Room 6 on floor 4" he says looking at me. I have to admit it is kinda creepy when he looks at me when I'm driving, but I also like the attention from him, don't ask why we're friends. I drive to the forth floor parking lot and park. Me and Rafe lean in to get the keys at the same time and bang heads. "Ow" he both say. I look up and start laughing, he looks up and starts laughing as well. I widen my eyes and move back because our faces were inches away it was kinda awkward. We laugh harder because did the face I made. After what felt like 5 minutes of laughing we stop. I grab the keys and hand Rafe one. He grabs the key and I turn the car off. I pull out the keys and put the key chain around my pinky finger. I unbuckle then hop out. Rafe hop's out 5 seconds after me. We both close our doors at the same time. I lock the car then we walk to the elevator, Rafe is about to push the button but I smack his hand. He looks at me "what the fuck was that for" he says. I push the button instead. I look over/up at him, "because I wanted to push it" I say. He rolls his eyes then the elevator doors open. We walk in and I let Rafe push the button. He looks at me and I look back. "Go on push the button" I say. He pushes the button and the elevator doors close. I lean up to the hand rails in the corner and stand there. We both stand in the elevator awkwardly until Rafe speaks. "Looks like your posing for an Instagram post" I don't look over at him. "Really cause I'm not" "you look like your modeling for some stupid clothes business" he says, I look over at him, "really I would never get picked for something that big" I say surprised he would even say what he did. "Oh yeah you do, to me you look like a very bootiefull woahman" he says in a weird voice. I look at him weirdly because of what he said. "What can friends not call each other pretty or beautiful" he says. The elevator doors open, we walk out. "No I'm just shocked you even said that, I wouldn't expect Rafe Cameron to call his girl best friend pretty" I say as were walking down the hallway to number 6. Rafe doesn't look at me just the door numbers. He doesn't say anything. " Rafe are you ignoring me?" I say. He stops and I keep walking, he puts his arm in front of me and I stop walking. "No I wasn't ignoring you but here's my room" he says as he removes his arm from in front of me. I look over at him, I slowly walk up to the door allowing Rafe time to open the door. Rafe grabs out his key from his pocket and unlocks the door. He opens it and walks in. I walk in after him and he closes the door. "This is a fancy room for just one person it even has two beds" Rafe sits down on the couch in there and looks at me, "what did you expect it's a fancy hotel and you should know your the one who booked the room" rafes says patting the seat and wanting me to sit down there. I walk over to the couch and sit down next to Rafe. He puts one arm on the arm rest. "So who's gonna sleep in the extra bed" I ask Rafe. "I don't know I could invite anyone or it could just be a spare bed" he says awnsering my question and looking at me. I look over at one of the beds then over at Rafe then down at my lap to see my hands fiddiling with my ring (has a small blue crystal in the middle) that JJ got me last year. "Can I ask you something" I say in a soft quiet voice, Rafe looks over at me. "Yeah you can ask me anything" he says back responding to my question. "Okay" you take a deep breath, "I never have time away from my brother and JJ so I was wondering if I could stay here for the night or maybe two" I say very fast. "Hold up, hold up; take a deep breath and calm down" he says. You take a deep breath then stand up, "sorry I'll leave" you say with a little bit of a sad tone. Your walk over to grab your keys. Rafe gets up and stops you. "No you can stay the night or two here it's fine by me" he says. You turn around and hug him. "Thanks you have no idea how much that means to me" he smiles while im saying that. I stop hugging him and put my hands on his shoulder and look at him in the eyes, "How about we go to the mall, get lunch and go clothes shopping for you and I can help you pick out some new clothes?" I ask him. "Sounds good" I take my hands off his shoulders, "oh and I also need to get some more dresses for the beach because it just became summer" I say adding to what I said before. "I quess we're going shopping together let's go" he says.
