Chapter 9

Y/n's pov:

"So your gonna let her have a vape but not let her do drugs?" Luca questions curiously at rafe's decision.

Rafe and I look over at Luca.

"I'm not gonna force y/n to do drugs and it is her life she can do what she wants" Rafe says back with a bit of attitude.

I nod slightly scared of what might happen next. A outbreak of anger? Hit someone? Force me to do drugs? Ugh I dunno anymore!

Luca nods slightly in response to what Rafe had to say.

We sit there in awkward silence until Goldie barks at the door. We all immediately look over at the door.

I see the door nob turning. "Did you give anyone else a key? Or have roommates?" I ask, my eyes still fixed on the door.

Luca glances over at me then back at the door. "No; to both" he says focusing on the door.

I look down at Goldie and pick her up. "Do you want to go chase them away?" I ask Goldie knowing that there won't be a response back because dogs can't talk.

Goldie barks and jumps out of my arms. She runs over to the door and someone opens it.

I look closely at the person and see someone I recognize.

"Goldie come back here" I say to Goldie holding out my arms for her to jump in. She runs up to me and I pick her up and place her on my lap.

"Hello?" I say to the figure standing at the door way. "Nice dog" they say walking over to us.

The tan, brown haired girl gets up to us. Kiara.

"That's one way of making an entrance or appearance" I say back in response to the lovely girl in front of me.

She nods. "How did you even know we were here?" Rafe questions her curiously.

"I always knew your guys best friends and I just happened to know where Luca lived" Kiara says back.

I nod slowly in confusion and weirdness. "Anyways why are you here?" I say shortly after nodding.

"Someone missed you A LOT" she says back pointing to the door.

A blonde haired boy walks through the doors. "Oh my god JJ you missed me?!" I say in a teasing tone.

"Of course I did you have never left the island with out me" JJ says in response.

I give Goldie to Rafe as I start to tear up. I get up and walk over to JJ. I pull him into a embrace.

"I missed you too jay" I whisper in his ear still hugging him. I hear JJ sniffle. "Are you crying?" I ask softly.

JJ doesn't reply just sniffs again. "Oh my god JJ Maybank is crying" I say hugging him tighter.

"You must have really missed me" I whisper to him again. "Yes yes I did" JJ whispers back in response.

After what feels like 5 minutes me and JJ pull out of our embrace. JJ wipes the tears from his cheeks and takes a step back.

"Take a seat" I say to Kiara and jj. They walk over to a empty couch and sit down on it.

I on the other hand walk over to Luca, stand next to him and bend down so my face is near his ear ready to whisper something.

"Don't tell them about me and Rafe they don't know and they don't get along that well" I whisper then go sit down next to Rafe.

Luca processes what I just said, looks at me then nods. I nod back and lean back in my chair.

"So did you guys come to New York together just you two?" I ask Kiara and JJ curiously waiting for an answer.
