Chapter 5

Rafes pov:
"You should probably leave" I say looking back at y/n's dad. "Why I just want to see my daughter" he says and I roll my eyes. "Well she doesn't want to see you" I say then I go to clllowe the door but y/n's dad holds it open and walks in. Y/n grabs onto me and hides from him. "D-Dad please l-leave" she says scaredly from behind me. I turn my head slightly so y/n could hear what I was about to say. "Go hide in the bathroom I'll get him out" I whisper to her. She runs into the bathroom and locks the door. He follows her but she closes the door just in time. "Hey man you should leave we didn't invite you in" I say. Her dad looks over at me "who asked for your opinion" he says then walks over to me. I hear y/n start crying in the bathroom. I look over st the bathroom then start to walk back as he walks closer to me. I walk over to the door and push the service button. "How may I help you" the man on the speaker says. "Hey, hey, there's this man in our hotel room and he won't leave" I say looking over at him. "K I'm on my way" they stop the service call and start to walk over. "You should probably leave now" I say smiling. He walks over to the bathroom door. "Y/n I can hear you crying shut up!" He says then y/n cries more. I run over to the door. "Y/n it's me Rafe, open the door please" I say, she unlocks and opens the door.

Y/n's pov:
I'm crying in the bathroom and all I can hear is my dad getting angry at Rafe. I feel so bad him, then suddenly I hear a new voice it sounds like it's on a radio though. It says that their coming up here to get my dad which is a big thanks. "You should probably leave now" I hear Rafe says. I hear someone walking up to the bathroom door, I hope it's Rafe. "Y/n I can hear you crying shut up!" Luke yells. I cry harder than before. I hear someone run up to the door, it must be Rafe theres no one else in the room. "Y/n it's me Rafe, open the door please" he says in a kind voice. I turn around and unlock it then open it. I get up and run into rafes arms still crying but not as hard as before. "Is he gone" I ask with my eyes closed. "No unfortunatly but a hotel person is coming to get him" Rafe says to me. I look over to my dad still hugging Rafe. I stop hugging Rafe, "I hope your happy you made your daughter cry!" I yell then a hotel person walks up to our door. "Ok Luke you need to get going they haven't invited you in" he says, and Luke walks over to him. "Are you ok ma'am?" He says looking over at me, I nod and they walk away. I walk to the door and close it then locking it. I sit down on one of the beds. Rafe sits down next to me. I start crying again but this time into his chest, while he hugs me. He knows that you getting his top wet but doesn't care it's you, the only thing he cares about is you. He looks down at me, "do you still want to go to toppers? I can cancel if you want" he says. I look up at Rafe still crying, "no it will take my mind off dad" I say still crying. He nods then I put my head back in his chest. "Cry your eyes out if you want I don't care" Rafe says, I take that for granted and start crying really hard that I start to get a headache. After about 5 minutes of having a head ache I get up. "You ok?" I look over at him tiredly and nod. I walk to the kitchen and grab a Nurofen. You grab a glass and pour some water into it. I take the pill and walk back over to Rafe. I sit on the best and lay my head on his chest and he wraps his arm around me. At this point we're basically cuddling being best friends. With his free free arm he grabs the tv remote and turns the tv on. He goes through every tv channel but can't find something to watch. "Let me pick" I say taking the remote off him. I get to a kids channel and paw patrol is on. I stop changing channels and leave it on that because there's nothing else to watch. Rafe looks down at me, "You've got to be kidding me" he says, I look up at him "what it's something to watch" I say, he steals the remote off me and turns the tv off. "I guess we're not watching tv then" he says placing the remote on the night stand/bed side table. I get a notification on my phone, Rafe let's go off me and allows me to grab my phone. I sit up and grab my phone, I sit next to Rafe and put my head on his shoulder and he puts his arm around me on my waist and looks at my phone as well (although it's sideways)
*On y/n's phone*
Kiara: we're having a small group party at John b's if you want to come
Y/n: sorry but I'm already going to toppers with Rafe
Kiara: oh that's a shame what are you guys doing?
Y/n: Me, Kelce, Topper and Rafe are getting high in Toppers hot tub
Kiara: would jj approve about this
Y/n: uhhh no he doesn't like me smoking cause I haven't ever and he wants me to stay like that
kiara: well have fun getting high
Y/n: will do
Y/n: ❤
Kiara: ❤
*Off phone*
"What are those hearts about" Rafe asks me. "Oh friendship thing I've known her since I was very little so we do that to show our friend love" I say back. "That's a bit *he flicks his wrist down* ya think?" He says back and we both laugh. You get another text, yoy look down at your phone
*on phone*
JJ: so your getting high at toppers huh
Y/n: how did yoy find out did kie tell you
JJ: no her phones casting to the tv in the lounge
Y/n: oh are you mad at me?
JJ: no I'm just going to give you some for your self because I don't trust toppers
Y/n: so your going to give me some from your special stash
JJ: yeah exactly
Y/n: oh my gosh tysm
JJ: no problem but your not getting any more than 5
Y/n: can so long as I get something
JJ: what hotel room you guys in I will drop them off
Y/n: obx hotel, floor 4, room 6
JJ: k on my way
Y/n: watch out for dad he's staying at this hotel learnt that from earlier on he broke into me and rafes room
JJ: I will watch out for him but you can rafes room?
Y/n: JJ it's only for 1 or 2 nights then I'm coming back home
JJ: okay I'm on my way
Y/n: k see you soon
*off phone*
"Jays on his way" I say. "Saw that" rafe says. "Guess we've got to sit on seperate beds now or someone on the couch" Rafe says, "but I was comfortable cuddling with you" I complain to what he just said. "Well it's your brother and I really don't want to get bet up" Rafe says, I look at him with annoyed face and go sit on the couch. A minute later I turn on the tv and watch paw patrol cause it's still on. 5 minutes later Rafe hears a knock on the door and opens it. "Hello JJ y/n's on the couch" Rafe says welcomeing JJ in. JJ walks in and Rafe closes the door behind him. Rafe goes and sits back on the bed while JJ walks over to me. I don't hear him sneaking up behind me. "BOO!" JJ yells that makes me jump and look behind me. JJ and Rafe laugh, "Jay! Not funny!" I yell, they keep laughing. "Stop laughing!" I say yelling louder and angrier than before. They stop laughing and look at you. "I'm not in the mood for this" I say going back to normal voice. JJ pulls out the cigarettes and hands them to me, I take them and put them on the table. "Now don't share with anyone and don't get to high it's your first time" jay says annoying you. "Blah blah blah I know" I say interrupting him. "It's only your first time" Rafe says, I look over at him "yeah so what jay doesn't let me smoke" I say to Rafe then look back at jj. "Do you have one I could smoke right now?" I ask him. He puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out a cigarette and passes it to me, I take it. "Does anyone have a lighter because I sure don't" I say/ask the boys. JJ pulls out a lighter and passes it to you "also brought this for you, now don't loose it because I've only got 4 and you have to be 18 to buy lighters" jay says, you look at him confused "then how did you get four" he scratches the back of his neck and looks down "um, stole them from dad" I look at him like he's crazy "you what!" I yell. Rafe just watches us talk/fight having no clue how bad our dad is. "Ugh doesn't matter you can leave now thanks for the cigarettes" I say annoyed. "Cya" jj says then walks out. I like the cigarette then put the lighter with the other cigarettes. I go and sit down next to Rafe. He steals the cigarette off me and inhales (idk what it's called) then passes it back to me. An hour goes past and we're cuddling on the bed both of us scrolling through Twitter or texting people. I suddenly get a text
*y/n's phone*
Pope: are you at toppers yet?
Y/n: no me and Rafe are going at 9
Pope: are you driving
Y/n: hell no I'm walking it's just a few blocks away too
Pope: that's good don't drive when your high
Y/n: I know 😂
Pope: well gotta go it's my turn to drive the boat
Y/n: k drive safe
Pope: will do, get high safely
Y/n: 😂
*off phone*
It's been about 3 hours and it's now 6:30."im hungry" I say then get up and walk to the kitchen. I go to one of the cupboards and see that that there are free Milo bars in there for the kids. I grab one and open it, I throw the rubbish away then go and sit down on the couch. It's now 8 o'clock. "I wanna do something but I don't know what" I say complaining to Rafe. He just turns off his phone and puts it on the bed side table. "Dinner out? Then we go to toppers" Rafe asks, "so your basically asking me on a date but friend style" I say smirking. "No im not asking you on a date I'm just asking if yoy wanna get dinner cause I'm hungry" he says, I look up at him, "or I could just cook from home" I say, "yoy can cook?" He asks me, I look at him with a 'bish are you dumb' look on my face. "Hell yeah I can cook I live with 2 boys I've got to be able to cook" I say annoyed. "Ok then what are we going to have" he asks me, "uhhhhh, salad and chips" I say, "good enough" Rafe says pretending that he owns the place. I get up and cook dinner, 20 minutes later its ready. "Dinners ready!" I yell to Rafe. I walk to the couch and place the plates on the coffee table along with the forks. Rafe gets up and walks over to the couch and sits next to me. He grabs his platea nd starts eating. "Mhm this is nice" he says complementing the food I made. "Thanks" I say picking up my plate. We eat and it's now 8:40 (it took you guys 20 minutes to eat because you guys would get distracted by talking). I get up and grab both our plates and put them on the bench. I then grab my cigarettes and lighter and put them in a bag. "I'm going to put my bikini on underneath my clothes" I say walking into the bathroom. I get changed then put my clothes back on on top and walk out. "K you ready to go" I ask race he nods and I grab my bag and room key. We walk out and Rafe locks the door. We walk out of the hotel property and start walking to toppers. "Ugh this is going to be a long walk" I complain to Rafe, he looks at me "you always complain don't you" I look over at him. "Well I complain a lot when I'm with you so yeah" I say back. 10 minutes later we arrive at Toppers. Kelce was always there so they were waiting on us. We walk out to the back, we see Topper Kelce talking. "Oh hello y/n and Rafe" Kelce says. Topper turns around and looks at us. "Took ya long enough" he says, "we had to walk" Rafe says, "why because your car burnt down?" Kelce says. "No we have y/n's car but we decided to walk because for the way home." Rafe says, "well what are we waiting for!" I yell. Topper puts on some loud music and I take off my jeans and crop top as the others take off their tops. I grab my bag and pull out the cigarette pack and lighter, then walk over to the hot tub and hop in with the others. "Ohhhhh y/n brought her own" topper says lighting his cigarette I look up at him. "Yeah there from my brother" I say grabing out one, I place the packet on the table behind me and grab the lighter from the same table. I put the cigarette in my mouth and light it then put the lighter on the table next to the pack. "So y/n must be a pro at this" Kelce says. "Actually it's only her second time" Rafe says awnsering for me. They look over at me, I nod confirming what Rafe just said. "Jeez you need to do this more often it's great" topper says. "Um getting high in a hot tub with you guys, no thanks" I say giving my awnser to topper about what he just said. The song hot girl bummer plays and I start singing to it. "Fuck you and you and youuuuuu" I say pointing to the boys then laughing. "Yup she's already a bit high" Rafe says. An hour goes by and were all still in the hot tub, I have smoked two cigarettes and I'm on my third one now. I wouldn't say I'm really high but I wouldn't say I'm not tht high. "Fuck you" I say for no reason, they all look over at me, "yes you don't talk to me bitch" I say, "y/n there's no one there" Kelce says, "yeah there is I say putting my head under water. Rafe immediately takes my head out of the water. Ok maybe I would say I'm really high, "I'll go get you some water" topper says. He gets out of the hot tub and grabs me a glass of water. He comes back and passes to to me. "Enjoy" he says, I grab the water and chugg it down. I take a deep breathe in and out then place the glass in the water upside down so I floats. Rafe grabs it and puts it on the table behind me and Rafe. "Sorry for her actions" Rafe says, "it's completely fine she's high I get it". JJ facetimes me and I grab my phone and awnser.
*on FaceTime*
Y/n: hello dad im not high at all
JJ: oh my gosh y/n!
*you walk into the hot tub and fall over*
Y/n: oops I'm ok
*you hop into the hot tub*
JJ: y/n get ready I'm coming to get you
Y/n: no dad your such a party pooper
JJ: I'm not dad I'm your brother
Y/n: oh hello bRoThEr
*I say then laugh*
JJ: ok im coming your way to high and your coming home
Y/n: noooooooo I want to stay with Rafe
*I accidentally drop my phone and the hot tub and pick it back up*
Y/n: oops you dropped your phone
JJ: since you want to stay with Rafe and I'm a good brother I will drop you and Rafe off at Rafe's hotel room
Topper: oh come on man let them stay a bit longer
JJ: no do you see how high y/n is she need to go home
JJ: now I'm leaving see you in 10
*JJ ends the call and you put your phone behind you*
I look up at the stars, "look it's a star" I say pointing at one of the stars. They all look up, "yeah" Rafe says. You look down at Rafe and smile he looks down at you and smile aswell. 5 minutes later JJ pulls up the drive way and walks to the back. "Come on let's go" he says, you look over at him. JJ walks over to the hot tub and grabs the cigarette packet and the lighter. "jeez y/n how much did you smoke" he says. "I don't know maybe 4" you say, Rafe helps you up and you two get out of the pool. Topper look at your ass when you walk. Kelce judges him "bro stop staring your making it abvious" Kelce whispers to topper, topper stops staring and watches you three walk to the front. You hop in the back with Rafe. JJ hood in the front and drives back to the hotel. JJ walks with you guys to the room, "take good care of her I'm trusting you" JJ says, "I will take good care of here I promise, you can trust me" Rafe says putting a towel ok the couch then letting me sit down on the towel. Instead of sitting on the towel I sit on the non towel bit. "No y/n the towel bit" Rafe says, I sit down on the towel bit. JJ says his good byes then leaves closing the door behind him. "Ok y/n you need to get in the shower" Rafe says, I nod, "can I trust you not to fall over" he continues, I nod again, "k lets go" he helps me over to the bathroom. I get changed and hop in the shower. I shower normally nothing bad happens then I hop out. I get dryed and changed into my pajamas, I then walk out to Rafe. "Ok now I'm going to go get in the shower stay here" he says. He hops in the shower and walks back into the lounge 5 minutes later. He walks into the room and sees me sitting on one of the beds. "Good job y/n" he says clapping. I look over at him tiredly. "I'm not five" I say, "you seem better than before?" Rafe says to me, "yeah that because I tried drinking as much water as I could when you were in the shower" I say. He nods and walks over to me, he sits next to me. I rest my head on he shoulder and close my eyes. "Can I tell you something" I ask Rafe, "yeah of course" he replays back. "I-I like you" I say to him leaving him speechless. "You do?" Rafe asks me. "Yeah" I say to Rafe. He looks down at me and smiles. "Are you joking right now
Y/n I mean you are high" I open my eyes and look at him leaving our faces inches away, "not high enough to be joking about something this serious" I say leaving him speechless again. "Then you wouldn't mind this then" Rafe says then kisses me, it was only a peak but it still meant everything to me. I stare at his lips wanting him to kiss me more, he notices me staring at his lips then kisses me for longer then a peck. 30 seconds go by of us kissing and were both out of breath. We both lie down. I put my head on his chest and one hand on it as well, he puts his arm around me holding me in place. I then fall asleep in his arms.

Rafe's pov:
After 30 seconds of kissing me and y/n lie down because she's tired. She puts her head and hand on my chest leaving me smiling. I put my arm around her securing her in place. She soon falls asleep in my arms. I look at her and smile, she's so cute when she sleeps. "Y/n if you're hearing this I love you" I say to her knowing that she's asleep. I slowly fall asleep after y/n.
