Nightmares weren't supposed to plague adults. So why did they haunt Jimin? It wasn't always the same nightmare, but in the past few weeks, he'd been having one that seemed so real that he always woke up screaming, drenched in sweat. The nightmares had gotten fewer and farther between so Jimin hadn't thought to warn Jungkook. He thought that maybe with someone holding him, reminding his body that he was there in bed, safe, not in the nightmare.

Jimin always found himself in a foggy field, everything still and quiet. And then Jungkook would walk out of the fog, reaching towards Jimin. Just as their hands were about to touch, a gunshot broke the quiet, and Jimin always searched frantically for the source. It was only when Jungkook whispered his name that he turned to find the Alpha bleeding. Jimin immediately put pressure on the wound, making the Alpha's face scrunch up in pain.

"Stay with me, Kookie, please, don't close your eyes."

"Jimin, my Jimin. You've always been so good to me, but you have to go. You have to run. They're coming. They're going to get you and I can't let that happen."

Jimin shook his head though, crying now. "I can't leave you..."

"Yes you can. My sweet Omega, you have to go. Now."

The pounding of horses in the distance drew Jimin to the fact that he didn't have long. He looked back down at Jungkook. "I'll come back, I promise."

Leaning down, he placed a kiss on his forehead before getting up and running to a stand of trees. Just as he ducked behind one, the Military rounded a hill, the frontman coming to a halt next to Jungkook. Jimin could only watch as they yanked him up, punching him in the face as they called him a coward. They finally stopped as someone stepped forward to stand in front of Jungkook. Eyeing him up and down, the man drew a sword, tilting Jungkook's head up. He asked the Alpha something that Jimin couldn't hear, but whatever it was, Jungkook answered with a shake of his head. In the blink of an eye, the man drew the sword up and brought it down, plunging it into Jungkook's chest.

"JUNGKOOK!"

Jimin screamed, his eyes flying open to find Jungkook watching him, his brows furrowed.

"Jungkook?" Jimin's voice sounded broken even to his own ears. He didn't give him a chance to answer, simply surged forward and captured his lips. Jungkook didn't kiss back right away, not until Jimin whined softly, his hands holding tightly onto Jungkook's arms.

After a minute, they pulled apart, resting their foreheads together. Jimin still held Jungkook tightly, afraid that when he opened his eyes, he'd see that sword pierced through Jungkook's heart.

"How are you feeling?" he murmured. Jungkook shrugged. He still felt warm under Jimin's small hands, and Jimin pulled back, reaching for the bottle of medicine. He made Jungkook take another dose before they curled up under a blanket. They laid like that for another hour or so before a knock on the door sounded through the room. Hobi peaked inside, setting a tray down on the floor. Jungkook watched his every move, but he didn't growl this time. They ate quietly and Jimin expected them to go back to sleep again, but Jungkook had other plans.

"Jimin, I...Can I touch you?" He asked tentatively. Jimin nodded, making Jungkook smile. The Alpha leaned in close, his breath fanning across Jimin's lips. A soft whine escaped Jimin's mouth and he leaned forward the last little bit to kiss the Alpha. Jungkook kissed back with the same fervor, his hands wrapping around Jimin's small waist. He somehow managed to turn onto his back with Jimin straddling his waist. Looking down at Jungkook, Jimin placed his hands on his torso and slid them up until they were teasing his nipples. Jungkook's hips bucked upwards, making Jimin gasp as he realized just how much Jungkook wanted the Omega. It also made Jimin aware of how wet the young man underneath him was making him.

"Jimin-"

Jungkook was cut off by the sound of someone banging open a door downstairs. Hobi yelled something, making Jungkook and Jimin on edge. Immediately, Jungkook and Jimin scrambled off the bed, Jungkook put Jimin behind him. Heavy footsteps sounded up the stairs and they reached the bedroom. Two soldiers from the government military stood in the doorway, both of them Alphas. They made for Jimin, but Jungkook stopped them, growling low in his throat as he glared at him. Jimin had almost forgotten that the Alpha was still not quite himself, but he was thankful. He didn't know why the soldiers were here for him, but he didn't want to go. Most importantly, he didn't want to leave Jungkook.

"Step aside, Alpha. We're here for the Omega. Give him up and no one gets hurt."

Jimin whimpered, the smell of unfamiliar and aggressive Alpha seeping into the room. The scent was bringing back the memories of all those years ago when his father imprisoned him. The sound made Jungkook push Jimin farther back behind him.

In an instant, one of the soldiers had tackled Jungkook while the other grabbed Jimin, yanking him painfully out into the hallway. When he tried to fight back, calling out for Jungkook, the soldier lifted him over his shoulder and took off. There was an armored truck waiting for them outside, where they opened a cage built in the back and tossed Jimin in. There were four other Omegas, all looking terrified and reeking of fear. Jimin wrapped his hands around the bars, looking out as Jungkook came out of the house. But they were already pulling away, and even though Jungkook was fast, he wasn't as fast as a truck.

"Jungkook!" Jimin screamed, but they were pulling away too fast as tears fell from the Omegas eyes. One of the other Omegas, a young girl who seemed to be around the same age as Jimin gently wrapped her arms around him, just holding him as he sobbed.
