A Father's Forbidden Love

In the Beginning

Alright this is a Minato x Naruto story so if you don't like then don't read it but if you do then please enjoy. This story is based on if Minato survived the Nine Tails attack and Kushina sacrificed herself instead of both of them. So Naruto still has his dream in the future when he finds out about his mother and he wants to follow her wishes... but what happens when his father gets too protective. Will he rebel and follow his dream? Or will he please his father and stay out of the action? please read to find out. Anyway I'll start now thank you for reading!

(Minato's Pov)

It has been five years since Kushina died... I have been so depressed that I've thought of leaving Naruto but I still pushed through and did my best to raise my son. He was five years old now and very excited all the time it was kinda troublesome but it made me happy that he had a part of his mother inside him. "Naruto! Come on I finished breakfast come eat with me then we have to head to daddy's office!"

After I yelled that I heard little footsteps coming from upstairs and I knew he was moving around so I placed two plates at the table in our new two story house. I smiled when I saw the little blond boy bounce down the stairs and run to the table and started eating the food I'd just made. "Slow down Naruto we don't want you to choke there's plenty of time!"

I laughed when he looked up with puffy cheeks and started chewing slowly and swallowed it all before replying... "Sorry daddy I was just excited... so what do I get to do today at the office?"

I smiled nervously and scratched the back of my head... "Well I mean you can't do much but I heard that Sasuke will be there since his father wants me to watch him for a little while he's on a mission maybe he'll play with you today..." I hoped since Sasuke didn't seem like a very friendly kid but Naruto seemed to like him so I let it slide this time.

"Yay I can't wait to see Sasuke! He's so much fun haha!" He started to finish his food and when he was done he jumped down from the table to go slide on his sandals.

I only sighed and put the dishes in the sink it was pilling up again and I sighed again in frustration knowing I'd have to do them tonight after dinner. "Great... I'll never get a brake at this point..." I looked down slightly and ruffled my already messy hair before slowly grabbing my coat and sliding my shoes on and walking out with Naruto on my tail.

I smiled softly when I saw him run ahead and run around with the other kids laughing a little as I followed him. We eventually made it to my office and Sasuke and his father were already there along with Itachi which I assumed was going with him on the mission. "Fugaku I hope you weren't waiting too long Naruto had many things to do on the way here..." I stated calmly as I sat in my chair and watched as Naruto tackled the little Uchiha.

"No we arrived a couple minutes before you did... Sasuke kept bugging his brother so we also stopped a couple times." He said as he laughed when Sasuke started fighting with Naruto who was laughing and Itachi only stared out the window.

"Itachi how are you it's been a while... you really have grown..." I asked as I looked at him and he looked at me breaking his trance and smiled a little.

"Yes sorry for my rudeness Minato Sensei..." He said as he bowed to me politely then straightened up again and looked out to window again. He seemed unfocused as if he had a lot of things going through his mind so I only nodded and looked back at my friend as I grabbed the scroll and smiled.

"Well here it is Fugaku I hope you stay safe on the mission and I wish you luck" He took it and smiled bowing with Itachi and then straightened again to which I nodded.

"Thank you Hokage... I hope Sasuke doesn't give you too much trouble..." He stated as he slowly walked out and I watched as the two stopped fighting and laid on the floor breathing heavy and I smiled a little.
