Bubbles fell all over the world... no body understands why but it happened and it became a normal every day thing. That is until two weeks in... the bubbled fell to the ground and started turning into water and a large bubble covered the fire nation. The village was flooded and we ended up creating a new village above the cliff where the water couldn't reach. Many people died in this bubble fall phenomenon and so many children lost their loved ones. The village that use to be home was now a shell of itself with deep water surrounding and soon enough everything started eroding away.
However the children soon started playing on the old buildings creating a game of tag basically with teams of five or six. The idea was to have a jonin with you and you'd start at the edge of the village. You could use jutsu and tijutsu to make it to the jonin first which in turn made this a very dangerous game. However to ninja children it was a training exercise so the adults never bothered to tell them no instead they'd make sure that the jonin had a medical ninja as well for safety purposes.
Minato Namikaze was a legend in this game and one of the children who lost his clan to the bubble fall phenomenon. Shisui Uchiha was also a legend in this game but he couldn't play much being apart of the Uchiha family... the eldest son of Mikoto and Fugaku Uchiha and a prodigy shinobi to be exact.
Sasuke Uchiha was my brother and I was expected to take care of him but he made it difficult. He didn't like that I was gone all the time and sometimes was very vocal about it. Sadly today was one of those days...
"Nisan you promised!" Sasuke yelled as he ran out of the house to the back yard started to grab his bag of shuriken and kunai.
"I know Sasuke but I have to go on this mission for Lord Third it's important..." I whispered as I walked up behind him resting my hand on his shoulder.
"Yeah apparently more important then spending time with your family! Why can't someone else go?"
"This mission requires my knowledge and experience as well as the Uchiha abilities... Sasuke if I didn't have to go I wouldn't but I have too~" I stated softly as he turned to me with his adorable frown his eyes piercing my very soul.
"That's not fair uncle Izuna could do it and you know that-"
"Lord Third has already sent Izuna on a mission with his ANBU team he can't this time." I stated cutting the boy off which only made him angrier.
"I hate you!" My lips parted slightly my eyes blinking to keep tears from my eyes... those words cut like a knife. "Y-you never... spend time with- me anymore!" Sasuke yelled as tears fell down his chubby cheeks his eyes glistening in the sunlight.
I felt my lip quiver but I stayed strong and pulled my little brother in holding him tightly. "I know it may mean nothing to you but I promise from the bottom of my heart things will be different next time~" I whispered as he cried into my shoulder his small hands gripping the fabric of my jōnin jacket.
