Q&A Session

1) How did you come up with the idea of this book?

I always had some sympathy for EJ. Sure, he did mess up but I think he deserved better. Besides, he sort of faded into the background halfway through season one. Since he was a sad boy, I decided to brighten up his life by gifting him Ten as his best friend.

2) Any songs that helped you in the writing process for this season?

'Bring Me The Night' by Sam Tsui and Kina Grannis brought me a lot of comfort as I was writing, the melody and lyrics are beautiful.

NCT's Ten released his single 'Paint Me Naked' two days before chapter two was published. I was really inspired by the colours and his expression in the music video.

'Action Figure' by WayV was one of my favourite songs I listened to whilst writing these chapters. I always found it fun and it helped keep things exciting.

'Moonshot' by N.Flying is a good one as well. The music video is fun too.

I felt that 'No diggity' by Oneus fit EJ's feelings when he was dating Nini. It is a little of a stretch, but it does fit in my head.

To me, iKON's 'Love Scenario' and 'Why Why Why' sum up EJ's feelings after Nini broke up with him. I found the lyrics very fitting, it's quite fun.

3) Care to share any fun facts of this book?

If you look closely, most of the food mentioned throughout are what the face claims have eaten in real life. For example, "In the SOOP Seventeen ver." served as a great inspiration for a lot of the food mentioned with Jeonghan, Joshua and Vernon.
