Chapter 8: Before The Rating Game

Underworld Arena Stands

No POV:

Sitting down in a room filled with devils we find Y/N who is looking around uncomfortably. While normally she'd be calm and collected, here in the underworld she is in what she believes to be “enemy territory”. Out of her element, Y/N just sits there and waits for the rating game between Rias and her peerage against Riser and his peerage. The 10 days was up and now was the time for the rating game to begin. Y/N had hope for Rias and the others, especially after what she had put them through. However that bit of doubt stayed in the back of her mind but Y/N wasn't going to think that just yet.

Y/N POV:

"How does it feel to be in the den of your enemies?" Seiryu asked me

"Shut up you living fossil, most of them are looking at me funny" I replied shutting him up

"Struck a nerve did I?" Seiryu asked with a chuckle

"No, I'm just really on edge especially after what happened with Akeno" I answered

"While a surprise for sure, I will say I sensed your heart rate going up and your pheromones increasing in intensity" Seiryu said

"I have no idea what you are talking about, just shut up so I can watch the rating game" I told Seiryu making him be quiet

While I may have told Seiryu to be quiet I could still hear the old dragon chuckling in the back of my mind. While yes I was on edge after what happened with Akeno there were a few other things bothering me. For starters I was in a room with a bunch of noble devils all by myself. The only devils I personally knew were Rias and the others and they were getting ready. I was completely alone and vulnerable where I was. Besides that, there was the fact that a few of these devils were eyeballing me worse then the boys back at school.

I figured they must of found out that I trained Rias and the others or they must have heard about the beating I gave that Phenix creep. So either they wanted me to become a member of their peerages so they could become stronger or they wanted me dead for some payback for what I did to the flightless bird. Either way I was hoping neither of those two would happen or were the cause of the stares.

"I am surprised to see you here" a voice said pulling me from my conversation with Seiryu

I looked over and saw Sona standing there alongside Tsubaki, seeing them here, I almost forgot that they were devils

"Miss president, I didn't think you would be here" I said

"Rias is my friend and I wouldn't miss this at all also Y/N, you can just call me Sona outside of school" Sona replied with a smile as she sat down next to me with Tsubaki

"So both of you are devils?" I asked Sona

"Yes we're devils but I have a feeling you already knew that" Sona answered

She was right, with Seiryu's many abilities I could see the true nature of people and other beings. While I didn't know which house Sona was from, I could still see that she was a devil and not a human.
