Chapter 30 - Spy Mission

Shin: "Alright, now that I'm done with my business, I guess it's about time I went home."

Momoko and I scowled at him.

Shin: "Besides, it looks like you and you're little niece will beat me to death if I stay here any longer."

Momoko: "What can I say? She takes after me."

I nodded and followed them outside.

Shin: "I came all this way, so I might as well take a look around before I head out. It's quite different from my 'Castle', after all... but there's just one little thing I gotta do before that. It's gonna be no joke if this goes on much longer."

Momoko: "You're right. KENSHIROU,"

Shin: "DREAD,"

Momoko & Shin: "THAT'LL DO!"

They both stopped fighting and came back immediately.

Dread: "Kay."

Kenshirou: "Understood."

Momoko & Shin: "Good."

I couldn't help but smile a little. But I had heard everything Dread was saying outside the door, and I knew exactly why Kenshirou got mad. I walked with Momoko back to her office.

Momoko: "Listen, 33. I know you must have even more questions now-"

Jinx: "How about we start with 'Why wasn't I sent to the women's Nanba prison?' That's where I belong, isn't it? This place was an all guy prison before I showed up."

Momoko: "*sigh*... In truth, you were meant to go there. But, when I heard about you and your past... I decided to speak up and ask them to bring you here instead."

Jinx: "Why?"

Momoko: "Because the women's prison is a horrible place... even for a little girl like yourself. The types of women they send there are cunning and often times extremely violent. The men and boys here are almost innocent compared to them."

Jinx: "..."

Momoko: "You've grown a lot, 33. But I remember you being rather fragile and vulnerable when you first arrived. If you had gone there, you would have been taken advantage of easily. Criminal or not, I didn't want to put a little girl through that."

She placed her hand on my head and smiled.

Momoko: "I have no regrets about bringing you here. Because from the day you arrived, those boys in your cell took you under their wing and have cared for you ever since. Am I right?"

I couldn't help but smile too.

Jinx: "Yeah... they have."

My smile faded again.

Jinx: "Momoko... I don't want Jyugo and Musashi to hurt each other again..."

Momoko: "*sigh* I'm sorry, dear... I'm afraid there's just not much I can do about that... if the order came from 'Cause'."

Jinx: "But- but-!"

I felt myself about to cry.

Momoko: "Hey, it's alright. Listen, if it makes you feel better. I'll allow you to tell 15 and 634 what you heard about them today."

Jinx: "Really?"

She nodded.

Jinx: "Thanks, Momoko."
