Panic raised up in me in an instant as Grayson slowly leaned his face into mine so that we were just millimeters away from each other. I shot a glance in Jake's direction and I could see a wild, animal-like fury in his eyes. Without hesitating, Grayson pressed the tip of his tongue against my nose, moving upward in a slight licking motion. His tongue was rough and warm against my nose, very unpleasant for me. He then smirked as if he were the devil with an evil plan. By his look I could tell what he was thinking. I clenched my fist hard and just as I felt his lips brush slightly against my own, in one quick motion I connected my fist with his rib cage, hard. So hard that he stumbled to the right just enough for me to get away from his grip. I ran to the table that Alastor had cleared just moments before as Grayson stood up straight again, holding his side. He looked at me with an irritated look that was filled to the brim with heated anger.
"Oh, you're gonna regret that, pretty." He said coldly. Before he had time to react, I tossed a piece of glass in Jake's direction that ultimately ended up cutting me as it left my hand. Grayson rushed forward and I backed up, watching Jake. He caught the glass and rammed it into the Nighwalker's eye with such force that it sent the creature to the ground, screaming in it's pain. He then broke into a sprint and jumped onto Grayson's back as he was preoccupied with catching me. The adrenaline was pumped high in my veins making it so I wasn't scared at all. I backed behind a table as I watched Jake deck Grayson. The force of which Jake jumped onto Grayson's back, made them both fall to the ground as a full out fist brawl broke out. Each of them taking forceful punches to each other's bodies. They rolled around on the floor that had glass littered about. I would've screamed for Jake to be careful but the possibility of him hearing me in this kind of anger was close to none. His fists were clenched so tightly that his knuckles had gone completely pale and his face was red with fury as he took swing after swing out on Grayson. With every connection, Grayson cried out a little more. Head, stomach, jaw over and over again. I could hear the impact of every blow which made my insides turn a little with the flesh against bone kind of sound. With every round, Grayson could only get one punch to the ribs on Jake as they continued rolling around on the hard, sharp floor. I wanted to yell at Jake to leave Grayson alone so we could get out of here but I knew this behavior was a long time coming since the moment Grayson joined mine and Jake's adventure. He had really overstepped his boundaries with that pathetic attempt of a kiss he tried to force me into.
After what seemed like an eternity of these two going out on each other I finally yelled at Jake to leave him alone.
"Jake! Stop! You've made your point now, let's get out of here!" I yelled at him desperately. He looked up at me and I could see blood dripping out from the corner of his mouth. I was instantly filled with worry as he looked down at Grayson once more whose face was completely covered with blood trails coming from his nose, mouth, and surprisingly a cut in his head, which I assumed was from the glass on the ground. He connected his fist one more time with Grayson's head that finally put him out. Jake looked back up at me and said, "Okay, let's..." he was cut off. Wide eyes filled with panic replaced his once angry expression.
"Wha-?" Before I could even get the word out of my mouth I was greeted by searing hot jolts of pain coming from the left side of my waist. I had just now realized my mouth had dropped wide open and I started to breathe heavier and heavier. I hesitantly moved my right hand down to where the pain was coming from, gently, and was met with the feeling of something, a liquid, warm and sticky. I felt something run down my side as I brought my hand up to meet my eyes. My hand was covered in blood. I looked down to see a knife in my side, someone's hand clenched tightly around the handle. Alastor's hand. He must've snuck up behind me while I was watching the boys fight. Everything began to run in slow motion. My hearing was drowned out by ringing and a deep sound I couldn't place my finger on. My vision started to blur; I started seeing white spots. I looked up at Jake to see his mouth wide open, tears rolling down his face as he sprinted forward. I turned around, stumbling to the ground to see Alastor standing there with a smile and what seemed to be the beginning of laughter escape his lips. In moments, Jake was there as he pummeled Alastor to the ground connected another hard fist to *his* head, knocking him out cold. I struggled to keep my eyes open. I struggled believing that if I closed my eyes, I would open them again. In an instant, Jake was there by my side for the first time in who knows how long. I felt his strong, steady arms around me again as he said something I couldn't make out. He was sobbing at this point. I could see the light reflect off his cheeks. He picked me up in one quick motion and even though I couldn't hear it, I could feel my mouth was wide open, as if I was screaming in agony. Finally, I could voice my pain. This pain was worse than anything I've ever felt before. Worse than when half my shoulder was basically bitten right off my being.
I didn't know where I was or where Jake was going as the white spots had almost completely invaded my vision. The last thing I remember is Jake's worried, tear stained face looking ahead and the intensity of a bright yellow light before I finally succumbed to the darkness that was calling me.
