Chapter 7 Let The Games Begin

*  Natsu’s POV *

It was already two days after Lucy and I got back.
I was not that pissed anymore.
Lucy and I had started talking to each other again and everything was back to normal.
Lucy also knew about what the others did and also got pissed.
We just got back from a good job with Happy.

I held my hands behind my head as we walked into the guild.
we walked in and saw the usual:
Gildarts was trying to hug Cana,  Juvia was chasing Gray and Levy was reading while Gajeel kept giving his opinion.
I walked in and sat down at my regular spot at the bar.
After about half an hour, Erza walked in.
She was wearing her regular armor and was panting.
She strolled up to me and Lucy.
“ guys ! “ she started “ I got a brilliant idea ! “
“ tell us ! “ Lucy said exited.
“I was watching some TV, when I saw some sort of sport, I resurged more upon it and I think that we shout play it “
She explains.
“ oke, what sport is it ? “ I asked kind of nervous.
“ American football !  “
“ oh yea, I plaid that before ! “ Lucy said exited.
“ no way ! Lucy Heartfilia, who lived in a mansion her entire live, did not play American football ! “ Gray said.
“ I did, I swear. I played, but it was a long time ago, but I still got some tricks “
“ we’ll see about that ! “ I commented.
“ so you guys are going to play ? “ Erza asked.
Lucy and I nodded.
“ sweet, I’ll go tell the others, we shall start in an hour “
Erza ran away to tell the others.

* no one’s POV *

Everybody had gathered on a field that laid close to the guild.
Erza and Lucy had explained the rules to the others, they got the basics but that was all.
They decided to just play for fun.
(  I have no clue how this sport actually goes )
The rules they decided to play by were :
There will be two teams:
team 1:  Gray, Natsu, Happy, Romeo, Erza and Jellal.
team 2:  Lucy, Levy, Gajeel, Carla, Wendy and Juvia.
The ball will be thrown up by Mira.
The teams need to grab the ball and run to the other side to score behind the line.
The second the ball gets behind the line, the team scores.
Scoring at your own side does not count .
Magic is allowed.

And so is tackling.
The winning team will get to do with the other team whatever they want for a day.
If it’s a ty, Mira gets to decide.
Lisanna and Mira will be in a tent that sits on the side line that works as a mini hospital.
Just in case.
Now, Let The Games Begin !

All players took their places
Mira threw the ball in the air.
Carla held Wendy and they flew up to get the ball.
She grabbed the ball and got back down.
Wendy threw the ball to Lucy.
But it got cached by Natsu.
He turned around to shout something like: ‘ Suck it Ice cube ! ‘
From with he would probably get a: ‘ were on the same team, Flame Breath ! ‘
But he didn’t got the chance.
He saw that Lucy got tackled by Erza.
He ran back to help Lucy up.
“ are you oke ? “ he asked.
“ I’m fine “ she replied.
Lucy grind evilly.
She got up and ‘ Lucy kicked’ the ball out of Natsu’s hands.
“ Levy, Catch !”
Levy cached the ball and started running.
Gajeel ran towards her and picked her up.
“ you’re not fast enough shrimp ! “
“ let my down !  I can run by myself “
“ but you’re not fast enough “
Levy kept squirming around but Gajeel didn’t let go.
Erza ran after them.
“ Lucy ! “  Levy yelled across the field.
Lucy now ran in front of them and got the ball.

* Lucy’s POV *

I had the ball in my hands.
The white line was only a couple of meters ahead of me.
Suddenly I felt something pressing against my back.
It was heavy, so heavy that I fell to the ground.
I turned around, since breaking free didn’t work.
Natsu was laying on top of me.
“ did I mess with your plan ? “  he said with a smirk.
“ not at all “ I answered.
I held the ball up and threw it behind me.
It went over the line and Mira whistled.
“ one point to us ! “ I grinned.
“ oh and eh Natsu ? “
“ yea ? “
“ can you get of now ? “
He held up his shoulders.
“ I don’t know, do I want to ? “
I blushed.
Natsu saw that and got off.
He held my hand and helped me up.
“ he lovebirds ! let each other go and lets continue “  Gray yelled.
Natsu let go off my hand and blushed slightly.
“ shut it ice cube ! “ Natsu and I yelled at the same time.

We all took places again.
Mira threw up the ball.
Natsu snatched it out of the air and started running.
Levy and i went running after him.
“ you’re not getting it this time! “ he yelled.
He set the ball on fire, so no one could touch it.
Juvia tackled him and grabbed the ball.
Her water body put out the fire.
She got up and ran towards the line.
But got tackled by Jellal.
She threw the ball to me but Natsu cached it.
We ran after them as they ran to our line.
Gray and Natsu were running side by side.
It’s nice that they’re not fighting for one’s .
Gray turned around.
“ ice make: floor ! “
The grass beneath me turned to ice and I slipped.
“ I’m not helping you this time, Heartfilia ! “ Natsu yelled.
I looked up, quit surprised but still smiling.
Juvia’s water body got her feet frozen to the ice floor.
I ran after the guys, but was to slow.

Out of no wear a big sword appeared in front of me.
Erza was running in front of me and got swords pointing to every one of my team.
Natsu had thrown the ball to her and she walked over the line.
The score was now 1-1.
We played four more rounds, but the score kept at a ty.
Mira had the ball in her hands.
“ oke guys, we’re all very tired, so this is the last round ! if nobody scores in two minutes it will be a ty “
We all nodded as we were obviously tired.
She threw up the ball for the last time.
Everybody ran to the middle to catch it.
But I had an better idea.;
I summoned Sagittarius.
“ quick ! shoot the ball out of the air and plies make it land at the other side of that line “ I said.
He shot an arrow away with hit the ball right in the middle.
“ bull’s-eye ! “ I screamed enthusiastic.
“ I won’t be able to land it on the other side, my lady “ Sagittarius said before he left again.
I ran to the other side.
The ball and the arrow landed in front of me.
I pulled it out of the ground, with was harder than expected.
I started running the last ten meters.
“ Lucy ! “ I heard coming from behind.
“ watch out ! “
I turned around, only to see Erza, Natsu and Gray right behind me.
Erza was holding a big sword, Natsu was on fire and Gray was holding an ice lance.
I screamed .
And rand as fast as I could.
There is the line !
It was only a couple meters ahead of me.
But since I’m a horrible excuse for a human being, I tripped over nothing and fell .
“ Twenty seconds left ! “ Mira yelled with a smile on her face.
We all knew she had some evil plans ready.
I couldn’t get up since Gray just froze my feet to the floor.
They were getting closer.
“ ten seconds ! “
Slowly but sentient I got closer to the line.
“ two more meters ! “ I whispered.
My team mates were also getting closer.
“ five….four… three “
Mira was counting down the last seconds.
I channeled all my strength in my arm and threw the ball.
“ two… one !”
The ball landed not even three inches in front of me…..
“ wow Luce, that was horrible ! “ Natsu commented.
“ shut it !  “ I yelled back.
“ zero… were done ! “ Mira yelled.
“ it’s a ty ! I get to decide “
She rubbed her hands together like a devil .
“ you can rest today, but tomorrow I will rule you all ! “
