242 A Good Plan

The next morning, Yao Ai and Duan Zhi Hao arrived even earlier than usual at the building where the course was being held.

Last evening, they had tried to reassure Li Ming before everyone bid farewell and went back to their own places. As for the two of them, they had decided that if they wanted to make a plan to get Li Ming out of his troublesome situation post-breakup, then they needed to first have a plan.

And the best place to talk about that was clearly the school where they could easily meet up and just use the break space where they had originally met. Anyway, while Li Ming would come a little early, they could come even earlier. Maybe this way, they could already put their plan into action after the course ended this day.

With that thought, the two of them sat down in front of the window, putting their heads together and whispering to make sure nobody would hear anything, and let the cat out of the bag ahead of time.

"So, what do you propose?"

Duan Zhi Hao raised his brows. "I don't know. Don't you have an idea yet?"

Yao Ai shook her head, making her hair fly. "I thought I'd leave that to you and just support you. After all, you're a guy! And you're also about brother Li's age. You probably know best what to do after a breakup to get yourself back into a better mood."

Duan Zhi Hao couldn't really argue with that point. He somehow felt that whatever Yao Ai would come up with definitely wouldn't fit Li Ming. And that was even in case that she didn't do what movies had taught him about women crying into buckets of ice cream whenever somebody broke up with them. "Anyway, I think the biggest problem right now is that we don't really know anything. I mean he hasn't really talked about it."

"Well, we know that he was likely the one who broke up, right? At the very least, it sounded like it."

Duan Zhi Hao nodded. "That's true. So I guess the problem was that the relationship was a bad one. In that case, just having a better one would help. So should we look for a potential girlfriend for him?"

Yao Ai gave a hum as well, pursing her lips. "We don't even know his type though. How are we supposed to find somebody that he would like?"

Duan Zhi Hao furrowed his brows. "Well, I feel like he's the type to not give much about looks. We should probably base this off personality, especially if his last relationship was a bad one. He probably wants someone ... who fits his ideals better and will make for a nice relationship experience."

Yao Ai nodded. That was indeed likely. "Well, looking at brother Li, I think that somebody who is kind and patient would be perfect for him. The question is how to find that kind of girl."

Duan Zhi Hao rubbed his chin, wondering where he would expect that kind of woman to be. "Well, we sure can't just drag him into a bar to find one. That's probably not the type that would go there. Anyway, I feel like he's also the type of guy who would enjoy a quiet private life instead of going out. So maybe someplace like the library? But I wouldn't really know how to get him in there."

"Oh!" Yao Ai raised a finger, her eyes shining brightly. "How about instead of the library, we go to a bookstore! I could just say that I'm looking for something. He's the type of man who would come along if we ask nicely. And then, we can look around until we find somebody and try to have them get interested in each other."

Duan Zhi Hao wasn't too sure if that was a good idea. "That sounds like the plot of a rom-com or like a really cheesy romance movie. Are you sure that would work? Because I really don't think so."

"Of course, it'll work! Anyway, it might not if he went alone but with the two of us there, what could go wrong?"

Duan Zhi Hao really wasn't convinced yet and instead felt like with the two of them there, pretty much everything might go wrong but, in the end, he still nodded. "Well, even if it doesn't work, at the very least, we could figure out what his type is." Li Ming had suffered for so long, he could suffer a day longer. They'd just slowly have to figure things out.

Yao Ai nodded fervently, also feeling that this was a good idea. "Right. We don't need to solve the situation today already. As long as we slowly get closer to a solution, everything will be alright. Ah, I really don't get how his ex could treat him badly. Brother Li is a really good guy. Who wouldn't want to have a good relationship with him?"

Duan Zhi Hao raised his brows and shrugged his shoulders. "Well, I guess a guy like him might also attract people who just want to use others. Who knows what happened? Maybe she cheated on him or something. You know, I wouldn't be that surprised."

Yao Ai couldn't help but look really sad at that thought. Li Ming didn't deserve that. Then again, she didn't know if this was true so she shouldn't think too much about it either. Anyway, maybe things had been more harmless than that. Although that would at least explain why Li Ming had immediately broken up with her.

That was something that even he likely wouldn't be able to deal with. On the other hand, if it was anything else, she was pretty sure that Li Ming would have wanted to work on it first. He wasn't the kind of guy who would give up on a relationship that easily if he loved the other person. And since he also wasn't somebody who would get into a relationship if he didn't love the other person very much, this had to be all her fault.
