The Call

In 1991 Aaliyah Haughton was on her way to a meeting when she gets an unsettling call.

"Hello Aaliyah"

She stopped in her tracks and looked around then hung up the phone and continued walking.

Shortly after she got another call.

"Who is this?"
"What's your favorite scary movie?"
"Leave me alone!"

She hung up the phone and continued walking while looking around and being cautious.

And again she gets another phone call.

"Listen I told you to leave me alone, and if you don't do so then I'll have to call the police!!"

Unfortunately the call was not what she thought it was.

"Ma'am is this Aaliyah Haughton?"
"Yes it is"

She stopped walking in her racks and looked around intimidated to anyone stalking her from a distance.

I hear the wind wrestling with the leaves on the ground and the trees as my anxiousness grows more and more.

"I am so sorry but your father was found dead in the woods yesterday morning"
