It was a chilly evening. Even though I wasn't bothered by cold nights very often, I felt a tiny twist in my stomach. 

It's been three months since my breakup with Mikey and I can still see his expression when we broke up. He projected a dark frightening aura, Before launching towards Saki, almost killing him. 

( Dark impulse shit ykyk ) 

Saki was forced out of the Sano residence a few weeks after our breakup, and he stayed with me for a few months. 

During that time, I always heard engine noises outside my house at midnight. I knew it was Mikey, because I recognized how his motorbike sounds. But I just bought ear plugs to help me sleep.

The last time I saw Mikey was on New years eve. I woke up one night to someone ringing my doorbell vigorously. When I looked at the clock, it was 3 a.m.

I approached the door and peered through the peephole. Immediately, I recognized it was Mikey outside my porch. I opened the door to tell him to go, but I could tell he was intoxicated right away.

Mikey was barely able to open his eyes as he stood there. It was pouring outside at the time, so I reluctantly let him in. To help him on the couch, I held his hand. But he didn't budge when I tried to let go.

So I woke up Saki and told him to phone Draken's number. Mikey crawled on top of me and just leant on my shoulder until he fell asleep. This is the last time…I swear.

When Draken arrived, he smacked Mikey's head and apologised for the commotion. That being the last time I saw Mikey.

8 months have passed and Saki has gotten me a part-time job as a healthcare assistant at a hospital to give me experience before I start medical school. 

I enter the staff room and proceed to my locker to collect my belongings and clock in for the night. It wasn’t as busy as usual during my shift but I was oddly tired. I just brush it off as It’s probably because of the cold weather. 

My dazed gaze moved to the clock hanging on the wall as I closed my locker. It was a strange sensation that I couldn't explain. But, eventually, I found myself ascending the flight of steps leading to the rooftop. 

A gust of fresh air greets me when I open the door. I walked straight up to the fence's edge and sat down. I'm not sure what it was that compelled me to go to the rooftop tonight, but I felt it was necessary to do so. 

And I was right; it was a breathtaking sight. The stars tinkled brighter than the usual glow and the moonlight caressed its soothing radiance across my skin. 

Soon, Snowflakes began to fall from the sky, and the freezing air scratched my face. 

I pull out my scarf from my backpack and tie it around my neck tightly. The warmth of the fabric streaming in. For someone in a hospital, it was a relatively pleasant night. 

Then came the noises and lights of an ambulance approaching the hospital. 

Nvm, I spoke too soon.

Inhaling the cold winter air, I take a long breath and lean against the fence, taking in the peace and quiet, when I hear sniffling and wailing below me. 

I looked down and saw a young boy dressed in green. I reckon that he was with the ambulance, since the emergency room wasn’t too far from where he was.
